Shortages and price variations where you are

And your side is still trying to restrict legal immigration and blaming NAFTA.

You deserve each other.

Lol a million immigrants a year ( legally ) with a southern boarder that’s leaks illegals like water through a screen door is why we try to restrict immigration. I’m with Hog and you on this one .. what happened when the Indians didn’t protect their boarders , history always repeats itself when you follow the same path .

You are right about that. Carter deregulated 3 major sectors of the economy and appointed Volker to Fed chair, which paved the way for the boom in the 80's.

IDK of anything good Biden's done for the economy, I'm just saying laying it at Biden's feet and not Trump's is a totally bogus position.
I can barely remember when politicians deregulated. Carter looks like a hard line conservative compared to what we have lately.

Part of it is we try to crush presidents who deregulate, and if it worked, then we ignore it. 1/1000 know about Carter's deregulation. Clinton gets blamed for the housing bubble because of his deregulation in that area and NAFTA isn't even viewed as a deregulatory measure, and somehow people think NAFTA was bad, despite a mountain of growth that followed. Trump deregulated a little bit, but that mostly gets lost in the weeds.

I've never seen one single post from anyone to restrict legal immigration.

Yeah, you never heard of anybody opposing asylum seekers? That's legal immigration. You never heard of people supporting the travel bans? That's legal immigration. You didn't see support for Trump restricting the spouses of visa workers? That's legal immigration. And so on.

Trump Cuts Legal Immigrants By Half And He’s Not Done Yet

Our society definitely wants the president to "DO SOMETHING" aka pass new legislation or EOs. Not enough of us want the president to undo something another politician or branch of government previously did.

Biden's Travel Ban from the 6 African countries?

Travel bans are not immigration. It's travel...

Asylum seekers have a process. If they are in country living freely and unaccounted for before the process is complete it is illegal immigration.

A Visa worker has a Visa for said worker. Normally, once they get their family here just because they have a Visa, they typically go AWOL, which makes them all illegal immigrants. It's not immigration, it's a temporary work Visa. If they want to become permanent and bring their family over, they need to apply through legal channels.

Your post makes no sense.

That's the type of load I would expect to see Joe dump in his drawers. Walking across the border illegally and then claiming that you're seeking asylum (because that's what you've been instructed to do) if you happen to get detained is NOT legal immigration. Travel bans have nothing to do with immigration - legal or illegal unless those travelers intend to illegally overstay their travel visa and remain in the country knowing that the socialist regime currently in office has zero desire to oust illegals.

Yeah, just like with Carter, the problems were largely not his fault and Republicans blamed him for everything.

If you're thinking inflation and supply chain problems are solely a product of 2021, then you have no clue.
It's hilarious to see some of the liberals on here now embracing Jimmy Carter.

Total BS. Maybe fact check yourself when you make **** up that you believe to be true.

And yeah, we only eliminated fraudulent asylum seekers. I'm sure you actually believe that

We clearly just need to open the border now. That will fix every wrong move ever made in the past.

Your original stance seems flawed.

Have asylum seekers been a large enough population to be a market driver? I get in an absolute sense that even 1 is an impact, but is 80k a year enough to matter? And that's the entire population, looks like Trump got it down to 45k, so a loss of only 35k a year.

Refugees and Asylees in the United States

And that's vs more than a million green cards a year.

For the first time IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, the grocery store didn’t have any dill pickle slices 😲😲😲. Thanks a LOT Joe 😡
