Should a 5-7 team go bowling ?

I heard today they may not have teams to fill all the bowl games and a 5-7 team might get to go and Tennessee is one of the teams they are looking at. Has anybody else heard this and what is your take on this ?

I believe that unless you win your conference with less than 6 wins you are not bowl eligible per NCAA rules. There are plenty of MAC teams that have 7 wins and can fill bowl slots for conferences that can't fill their quotas.

Proof there are to many bowl games (not that we needed it).. I wish we had the old days back when a bowl game meant something..

6-6 should NOT get you to a bowl game...

The bowl season is rediculous..
The old days were ridiculous sometimes too though. Remember going 6-5 and getting into the Liberty Bowl in 86?

If a Bowl can't fill it's spots because they aren't enough teams...then that Bowl needs to just go away.
no way a suck @$$ team with a losing record needs to play.

Wake up.............. 5-7 Teams have already gone to Bowls.
Who gives a crap. Bowls outside of the BCS Championship Game mean little to nothing.
The Players get a free ipad, the Coaches keep their jobs and the idiot fanz get to spend some money and watch an awful game discussing what might have been. :)

Fred Flintstone went bowling, Al Bundy went bowling, The Big Lebowski ostensibly revolves around bowling - why can't the 57 Team roll a few rocks down the alley ?
