Should Tennessee be a 1 seed?

This is impressive work- I had no idea the number one seeds won that often. This proves that the seeding helps, but it’s also a testament to the idea that number one seeds are usually the elite - and thus winning the whole thing.

I forget the exact stat now but, when picking your final 4, the sum of their seeds should be 5 or less based on historical results which showed this occurred something like +80% of the time. Having said that, parity continues to increase in the game and that sum may have risen in recent years given how much "madness" is happening.

Let's get through Alabama and Auburn and not overlook anyone else. Kentucky can still be a mean animal at Rupp.

They have a favorable schedule with Auburn a little down, plus playing Arky and Bama only once both a home. I love the 10 man rotation and the backline power. They must win as a team with no dependable high scoring player, also no weak, shouldn't be on the court, player. I hope these 2 factors, plus a shut down defense, make up for that fault.

I can't imagine Barnes & Co having the same mentality; that would be a big problem.

Don’t worry. Barnes doesn’t care at all about the mid-season AP ranking. I’d rather not give the opposing fans the additional edge. Like at Sanford Stadium a couple of months ago.

I don’t think us being ranked 1 vs. 2 changes the outcome of that game, but to each their own.

I think they wouldn’t have been as motivated had they been #1 instead of us. Also Ainge should have shut his mouth before and idiot TN fans shouldn’t have been dialing Stetson’s digits. Billboard material is a thing IMO. But to each their own.

Uga was motivated for that game for a lot of reasons.

Lemme see how we do against Alabama first.

Of all the games left on our regular season schedule, I think that one brings the most tournament-like, "one-and-done"-ish, player-testing pressure to perform and win. Need to see how our younger players respond to that.

Then we should know a little more about this team.
