ESPN (Entire Sucking P**** Nerds) hate the Vols. We all know that. On the NCAAM page, you have to get almost to the bottom before you see one story about the #5 Vols. I think this is great.

I believe this team will show up as #1 seed and piss off the Sucking Nerds.

Agree on the desperate desire. It just feels wide open this year for a run and a 1 seed would really help. Although I thought 2 seed last year, I think I’m still a little bitter about Duke being seeded higher.

For reference, the two seeds last year all had between 5-7 losses. That’s public information. How we fare vs Texas, Bama, Auburn x2 and KY will probably determine where we fall between 1-3. Losing unexpectedly against lesser opponents could hurt us, of course. 3-2 in the run listed is a strong case for a 2. 4-1 is a very strong case for a 1. Obviously the mix matters. Beat Bama and Texas, and lose to KY and Auburn on the road is an impressive list of quality wins and acceptable road losses. Not sure how that record isn’t a 2.
