It's really not fair to compare her to men.:cray: Lets not have mens gymnastics in the Olympics anymore because the women are so much better than them.
I think you'd have to do away with most women's sports if you were to live by LG1s rules. I'm not for that, but I'm all about keeping them off TV.

I know I would.

Really? That surprises me. Last month when I saw darts on ESPN I watched it for about five min.. The first thing I thought was I bet I'm one of fifty people watching these overweight alcoholics.:eek:lol:

You would rather watch darts or ping-pong than the WNBA?
ping pong all day long. Darts, I'd simply turn off the TV or roll into a movie. Guess that puts darts right up there with womens pro ball.

Admittedly, I've watched some Vol women tourney games because I have a rooting interest, but that wasn't even enough to make it enjoyable for me.

I will watch womens collegiate ball on occasion. The spirit of amateur athletics is a big part of that. The WNBA is just a marketing ploy. And not a very good one. I personally don't care for it. It's ok if you do.

Hold on I've never seen a single WNBA game. I was just against the way that lawgaytor represented it in a sexist manor.:peace2:

I never understood speed walking. Why not just run. Doesn't it look like it would hurt?

To prove that my motive on this is not sexist, but rather that I just can't stand mediocre athletics being pawned off as entertainment, please remember that on this site about three months ago I similarly blasted ESPN for showing the frickin' national paintball championships.

Pretending that grown men playing "Army" is a sport may be even worse than trying to say that the WNBA is worth watching. Its close.

I didn't see it that way. I saw it as an HONEST assesment of the WNBA.

The Olympics have gotten out of hand. They did away with baseball as a sport but kept speed walking and Softball?!

Ive gotten to the point that I really dont like them much at all anymore. It's 3 weeks of "you need to like this or you are a bad American". The only good thing about them this year is as they end it will be FOOTBALL season!

I didn't mean to misrepresent myself as a fan of the WNBA I just think there is far worse things on T.V. than the WNBA. It seemed as if law didn't like it because the women weren't as good as the men.:peace2:

I'm proud of Candace, and of the whole Tennessee program. All of the LV rookies are doing well, and representing the Orange with grace, class, and hard work. Kudos to Pat and her staff.

Why must you D bags scat all over this thread by debating the values of womens athletics, especially basketball? Parker is exceptional in her sport, and represented your university with more grace than some of you clowns deserve. On top of that, she is doing a fine job in the next level available to her. I don't care for the NBA/WNBA, and I'll only watch Candace's games, but I will give the our lady vols their props.
