Theres some solid logic. Women aren't as athletic as men. You aren't joevol's kid are you?

you think they would have a chance?

all I am saying is Geno shouldn't be saying they are breaking a men's record because they aren't.. It is completely different for them to do it, and it isn't even a fair comparison.

ESPN was sure trying to make everyone care last night. And what I find funny about the whole thing is moron is trying to make this a sexist thing, but he and ESPN are the ones trying to compare it to an accomplishment of a men's team. Why not just let the women's record stand on it's own? Not to mention anyone with a brain knows it's not the same thing at all.

The whole thing is just stupid.

i got up this morning to see Mike and Mike talking about this streak, so I quickly change it to Sportscenter and they are playing film and talking about the streak, so I go to ESPN U to see highlight express and they are also on the streak,,, I almost got sick.

No doubt folks that say they hate women's BB also hate Little League baseball (they're weak and awful at the game), youth football (same...too slow and boring, no technique), youth basketball (Gahd! they can barely dribble and none of them can dunk!).... and anything else that doesn't have manly men bumping chests. :eek:lol:

proof that people who dont like womens bball also are the other things youlisted? or are you making a very feeble attempt at trying to "defend" the sport?

Yeah because women's college basketball is the same thing as youth sports.....

At least we can understand why kids can't do anything special..

They practice their whole lives to be fundamentally sound but they air ball it more than boy's in middle school do.. That isn't interesting to me.

The question is if it wasn't your kid would you watch youth basketball on TV?? If not then I don't see how you think us not liking to watch women's basketball is any different. It is identical.

Of course I watch youth when they are on the teevee thang...not very often, 'cause it's not on very much. I don't EXPECT them to play like adults. I watch LL world series whenever I can and can enjoy it for what it is....like women's basketball. I like the contrast between the very, very few really good players and the rest-sometimes it makes a play even better to watch, IMO...just like in women's sports. I like to watch women's T & F, too. The women's sweep of the relays at Penn Relays the last two years was GREAT, IMO. There are no surprises left in NBA BB. Few in the NFL, either. So, yeah...I do like watching different levels of sports and get a kick out of it. I don't expect everybody to.

I understand why some won't watch women's bb but, I really believe most* folks on VN who have to make it a point to belittle WB on here every time the subject comes up or every time they feel the need to go to the women's sports forum have a different agenda....and I and they both know it.

just to clear it up I have no ulterior motive.. I just simply can't stand it. I could be on my 14th re-run of sportscenter and women's softball, basketball, etc could come on and I would change the channel.

To be fair though.. I do not watch a lot of the NBA, MLB, or even NFL for that matter. I just watch a lot of college football and premier league soccer. However, if I had to choose between men's and women's sports on tv it's a no brainer.

It's not that we hate women's basketball. It's just that this amazing women's UCONN would get scraped up by most of the men's NCAA teams. You're kings (oops queens my bad) of the D-League. Here's a pat on the back I guess.

Perhaps the Wish-I-were-a-Man Vols should play couple of games at an Assisted Living Center or Nursing Home. It'd be a nice way to pay back their fans.

It's like comparing a high school football team's streak to a college team's streak. Two different levels of competition.

Geno is a prick, but he does own PS. I'm curious how well he would do at the men's game, but I doubt he will ever make the jump because I think he likes being a big fish in a small pond.

Edited to reflect reality.
