Geno is a prick, but he does own PS.

I keep seeing this posted..How does Geno "own" Pat Summitt??...She has beaten Geno the last 3 times they played ('05,'06,'07) and despite losing 4 NC games to UConn, CPS has put UConn out of the tourney twice as well and she's been at the top of WBB for her whole career...And everybody seems to forget she won back-to-back championships in '07 and '08...Just 2 seasons ago..Since '95 CPS has been to the Final Four 10 times with 5 Nat'l Championships and 3 2nd place finishes..CPS is just 8-13 against CGA but to say he owns her??..C'mon man...That's complete bs...Give CPS the respect she has earned...Name another coach with 2 courts named after her or another coach with 1,000 wins..And BTW, I've said MANY times how hard a schedule CPS plays EVERY year...Half your games against ranked opponents...45 former players who have become coaches..100% graduation rate...All-time winningest coach at ANY level of college basketball...84% winning with the schedules loaded with ranked teams...This argument gets old...Give CPS respect...She has earned it!!!!

I don't really have any issues with the underlying principles of Title IX. If they would take the football numbers out of the equation, I wouldn't have any issues with it at all.

Totally agree. In fact, I don't know if the numbers game is even necessary. Just provide adequate funding to a similar number of sports. No problem.

Ok, so you don't like WBB...I get that...But to say that playing against ranked teams is any less significant because there aren't any "stacked teams" IMO doesn't make sense...It is was it is...When half of the teams you play are ranked in WCBB, that's all you can really do...UConn does NOT play a schedule against many ranked teams, which IMO makes their "streak" even less impressive..Nobody says folks have to watch or follow WCBB, but when they don't, it certainly seems extremely hypocritical for them to say they possess any knowledge about something they claim to never watch or follow...Just because some fans watch WBB doesn't make them any less of a sports fan...JMHO

Exactly. The spread between the top 20 teams in women's basketball is much greater than men's ball. That's how it always has been and will continue to be.

just to clear it up I have no ulterior motive.. I just simply can't stand it. I could be on my 14th re-run of sportscenter and women's softball, basketball, etc could come on and I would change the channel.


To be fair though.. I do not watch a lot of the NBA, MLB, or even NFL for that matter. I just watch a lot of college football and premier league soccer. However, if I had to choose between men's and women's sports on tv it's a no brainer.

I would say something about soccer being boring....but I really don't think so. I just don't watch it much.
