SIAP John Crompton tells Bama fans...

I never bashed him while playing. Yes, he gave what he had for UT, but with statements like he made in this case, he is doing nothing but trying to tear down UT. Any true Vol fan would have a problem with this.

Saying something positive about another program isnt "tearing down" UT.

Every poster should read what they post before hitting the button to post it. If it's looks like the ramblings of a immature, jilted ex girlfriend most likely it isn't a positive for our team.

Even Bama and UF? :eek:hmy:

Yes, even bama and UF. Whats the damn problem? If he came out and said, "you know what, **** those hilljacks in Knoxville, that's a terrible place to go", I could see the hate. That's not what he is saying. If some want to take this route, might as well fire Butch then.......

"I respect their football program and what they've done as much or more than anyone in the country," Jones says.

Calm down. I was joking (more or less). :)

The only good move Al Davis made in his last 15 years was to fire kiffen. He may help qbs a little but he is a cancer and recruits should be jumping ship like bama has the plague.

Kiffin is obviously a very good coach. You don't pass all of Raiders, UT, USC, and Saban interviews and get hired without being a good coach. I hate how he left UT but don't blame him as much as many others do - he went to his dream job in his home state so I can understand that - and while he was here he pulled all the stops to win - so can't blame him for lack of effort either. Of course he did it his way which many did not appreciate - but only after he left some of our hypocritical fans really started questioning his methods - it was not a problem when he was annoying everyone else in the SEC - at least that's how I remember it.

He has failed/quit/got fired/ everywhere that he has been a HC, how again do you call that a Good Coach? I'm not saying that he doesn't try, but I usually define a Good coach that has a winner every now and again, and doesn't have a different job every other couple of years. Ex..Saban, Miles, Richt, Spurrier etc... they try to stay at one place leave their mark, oh yeah, and usually have a winning record the majority of the time.

I don't think its kiffen's effort that anyone's ever questioned, its the results he has gotten. Most of the places that he has been the results on the field have been lackluster at best.

Of course Butch himself would step in to "fix" the post criticizing him on breaking promise regarding best staff in America. :)

Never been one to delegate such duties.

Those are funny. A fat guy falling down is always awesome.

I think Kiffin did a good job while at UT - both recruiting and coaching was good (killed UGA and SCjr and almost beat Bama with Crompton at QB in itself means he can coach).
I even think he did a decent jobs and got a raw deal at USC - he had a nice first year but the sanctions and lack of scholarships caught up with him (poetic justice given he left us with sanctions). People complain that CBJ should not be judged until year 3 or so but the same people will criticize Kiffin for failing under even more difficult circumstances (CBJ at least has no sanctions and loss of scholarships to deal with).

A 4 yr scholly for playing a sport he loves, a free education, and a pathway to his future. He owes UT nothing??
How much do you think he loved playing here with dumbasses making death threats?
He spilled blood and sweat on the field and no telling how many tears he and his family shed from the BS of some of this fan base.
He more than held up his end of the deal.
