Even Bama and UF?hmy:
"I respect their football program and what they've done as much or more than anyone in the country," Jones says.
Yes, even bama and UF. Whats the damn problem? If he came out and said, "you know what, **** those hilljacks in Knoxville, that's a terrible place to go", I could see the hate. That's not what he is saying. If some want to take this route, might as well fire Butch then.......
Kiffin is obviously a very good coach. You don't pass all of Raiders, UT, USC, and Saban interviews and get hired without being a good coach. I hate how he left UT but don't blame him as much as many others do - he went to his dream job in his home state so I can understand that - and while he was here he pulled all the stops to win - so can't blame him for lack of effort either. Of course he did it his way which many did not appreciate - but only after he left some of our hypocritical fans really started questioning his methods - it was not a problem when he was annoying everyone else in the SEC - at least that's how I remember it.
He has failed/quit/got fired/ everywhere that he has been a HC, how again do you call that a Good Coach? I'm not saying that he doesn't try, but I usually define a Good coach that has a winner every now and again, and doesn't have a different job every other couple of years. Ex..Saban, Miles, Richt, Spurrier etc... they try to stay at one place leave their mark, oh yeah, and usually have a winning record the majority of the time.
I don't think its kiffen's effort that anyone's ever questioned, its the results he has gotten. Most of the places that he has been the results on the field have been lackluster at best.
How much do you think he loved playing here with dumbasses making death threats?A 4 yr scholly for playing a sport he loves, a free education, and a pathway to his future. He owes UT nothing??
