SIAP. Texas could get James Franklin?

Hmmm.

Guess Cookeville is off limits (TTU). So is Chattanooga (UTC). Add Martin to that list (UTM). Johnson City is out (ETSU) as is Elizabethton (Milligan College). Greeneville, Clarksville, Jefferson City, Jackson, Morristown...

But wait! Wouldn't that include Nashville as well since it's home to David Lipscomb, Tennessee State, Nashville State CC, Fisk, Meharry and others?

Dude, seems like there's nowhere in the State for you to go. Might you try heading to Arkansas for a change in scenery?

I don't have a problem with any of those schools. I don't have a problem with the university of Tennessee, I've got a cousin going there right now. I have a problem with Knoxville and SOME UT fans.

Glad to hear you have some smarts in your bloodline. You really should give Knoxville a chance. The town rocks. Has much to offer from big city entertainment to outdoorsy fun minutes away. Spent 5 years there getting bs and ms.

Every fan base has some bad apples. No need to alienate cities because of a few. Personally I grew up in middle Tennessee. So like 90% of all vandy fans I knew were obnoxious. Granted there have never been a ton of them... even there. Furthermore 98% of all vandy graduates I know have a superiority complex. Think the label of vandy deserves worship, but can't even change a tire. Yet in spite of this I can still enjoy Nashville when home.

Just because vandy is in your backyard shouldn't buy your loyalty. Tennessee has mine for a million and one reasons that I won't overwhelm you with here, but to an extent I would suggest you learn to figure out your priorities and make all of your decisions in life off them.

I respect your opinion. I don't just support Vandy because they're my local team. They do a lot for the community and the fans. Vanderbilt hospital has saved more than one member of my family.

good luck on your recruiting class. doesnt seem to be filling up with too many really good ones.

next yr will be a shock for you guys as well.
ENTIRE senior laden Secondary is gone. ACS is gone.Matthews is gone. Krause gone. Wesley Johnson gone. Walker may is gone. Fitz Lassing is gone.Morse is gone. Garnham gone. Butler Gone. worry about your own team. you guys are losing a whole hell of a lot as well. like 9 starting defenders and about 5 on the offense who contributed and thats not counting Tate. thats about 13-14 starters not counting some seniors who play in backup.good luck beating those freshman!

Everyone behind those guys has SEC experience. Example: Paris Head a true Freshman came off the bench and had 2 int's against the Vols. Vandy has depth and better players coming in every year.

Yup. 2 interceptions. The first one a bad pass from a true freshman. The second from our punter. Stellar.

Who's better than Jordan Matthews?

Who's better than Jordan Matthews?

They may never have anyone as good as Matthews. They've got several 4 star guys behind him though. Next year will be a rebuilding year no doubt but Vandy has more talent on the field than they've ever had. I expect another winning season. I'm really looking forward to 2015 when there's nothing but Franklin recruits out there.

Or Krause? If Vany didn't have Matthews they would have been lucky to win 5 games this season.

When Vandy lost Boyd everyone said that Matthews won't have any help and the offense will be unproductive. Krause, a guy that played mostly on special teams steps up and had a better year than Boyd did the year before. Vandy will be young next year at receiver. They will have a veteran O line, running backs, QB with experience and everyone on defense saw signifigant reps this year. I'm not worried!

Vanderbilt, the school, has done jack for Nashville. They think they are too good to be here. They are pretty crappy neighbors and that attitude is why the city doesn't embrace them the way every other school in this conference in their own city. You may say that Nashville is a melting pot of southern professionals that all went to other SEC schools but that doesn't explain away the near zero local support for Vandy.

Guess we've been ignored.

Somebody else ask him about Justin Hunter.

I guess I was wrong about Hunters past, confused him with Rodgers.I hope he turns out to be a great player for the Titans. Hunter is already getting in trouble his rookie season. Hopefully he gets his crap together and has a good career. Can someone name any former Vandy players in the NFL that have been suspended of arrested?

Vanderbilt alumni usually move to other parts of the country or other countries. Everone that lives in Nashville either supports UT, Bama or other SEC schools. There probably isn't 40,000 Vandy fans in middle Tennessee. 80 years of bad football will do that. Since Vandy has been winning their fan base has been growing. If Vandy can go to bowl games and beat Tennessee once every 2 or 3 years I'll be happy.

That's a matter of opinion.

Saw Vandy has entered into a series with both Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee for the next few years. At least they are buying their cupcakes local.

Both those teams have been winning a lot lately. They're not exactly the pushovers they used to be. Vandy is going to play a series with Georgia Tech in a couple years too.

Better question: Can anybody name any Vandy players in the NFL?

You're reaching waaaaaay far with Hunter. By almost all accounts it was something in the realm of missing a meeting, late to practice, etc. Not a good thing by any means, but miniscule when compared to somethings NFL WRs have pulled in the last several years.

He's an odd choice to try to prop up whatever point it is you are trying to make.

Wrong again lottery pick. There are 14 former Vandy players currently in the NFL. You're so good at trivia here's one for u. Not counting the rape incident, name one Vandy player that was arrested and charged with a crime while enrolled at Vandy?
