Skylar McBee

yeah he is not happy with the workouts and all. i have heard RW name too, but idk if it is anything serious.

He's not good enough for SEC play.

He'd be better off going to Carson Newman or another D2 school...

why was wake looking at him if he's only a d2 player ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Just depends in the situation. Skylar is going to be a role player to hopefully come in and hit a big shot.

Skylar will play this year and contribute his role of the team. He's got a great shot.

I don't see McBee getting any significant minutes this season in a guard rotation that includes Scotty Hopson, Cameron Tatum, Melvin Goins, Bobby Maze, and potentially Josh Tabb.

Seems like a redshirt is in order.

yea he will come in and prob hit a big shot and you cant say he didnt play against good talent he played aau for one of the best teams in tennessee and started for them so he had to be half way decent and he will do just fine in ut. :peace2:

Pretty sure he was named MVP or All Tourney in alot of the tourneys they played in.

Still feeling that way?

He wasn't signed..he walked on
Granted he'll probably be put on scholarship next year

but honestly yes. If we're paying that much for a coach, with some of the best facilities in the country, ..etc, I at least want a guy who can make the Elite 8 once in a while and recruit a half decent PG.

Well it looks like pretty much everyone underrated Skylar. Because in his first scrimage against LMU he had about half of the team's 3 pt. percentage. So I think he will get some good playing time and a scholarship next year.

Great. Does that mean he's going to light it up against Kentucky?

They say he is actually giving Hopson a challenge for the starting spot. I don't necessarily buy that, but Bruce did say that McBee has a "stranglehold" on the reserve minutes...

Dude can ball no doubt we scrimaged Grainger last year and we have two All District players returning and the Defensive player of the year for our district and he scored 42 on us so I promise if we can get him open he will hit shots.

Im going to a scrimmage tomorrow, Ill give a summary. Skyler did look good against LMU. He reminded me of Humphrey at FLA. I seriously doubt he beats Scotty tho.

If Skylar beats him out, I will bow down and kiss his feet my first day on campus.

If he proves himself against legit competition though, thats when I'll be the first to hop on the bandwagon. I hope he really does prove me wrong.

i think he'll be a great shooter off the bench... better than lofton anybody???

purely from a shooting standpoint
