Skyler McBee

More made up bs from you. Nobody said that.

You are a drama queen with reading comprehension issues who lies and exaggerates to try to make a point. Add a little ocd and your necessity to have the last word in every thread, and you get quite a head case.

Good luck with that. I'm sure its working out well for you.

and youre a moron who gets on message boards pulling out the simplest of theories, trying to claim to be a famous coach who put many guys into top d1 programs. guess what if you were you would realize what we are saying about mcbee is true and that he brings very little to this team. anybody can be what they want behind a screen genius, nobody is impressed with your internete resume.

you dodge questions worse than a 9 year old girl, ive asked you 100 times what the hell your point of this theory even was? and you cant provide an answer.

you have the comprehension problems douche. i have said 1000k times that i get why ccm plays mcbee, i understand he wants to stretch the D. pay attention to the next part...all anyone on here says is this:

he is a ****ty shooter
he is a ****ty ball handler
he is a ****ty defender
he is a ****ty 3 pt shooter
he is ****ty at creating offense
he is good at hitting free throws

all of that is true whether you want to admit it or not, it is true my brother. people B&M about him because having to watch a guy play for us who wouldnt start on a mid major team is frustrating. most everyone on here though realizes why he is playing, not many on here HONESTLY feel that he should never see the floor again, you just try to jump on anything you see negative about mcbee. the kid has heart and gives great effort, ya know what though that only gets you so far, he isnt a sec caliber player and that is all anybody on here is saying. do some fans go about it strongly and say bench his ass or he should see 0 minutes? yes they do. i guarantee you though most of them actually realize that he has to see minutes because we just dont have the talent behind him to play instead, and realize we need someone to attempt to shoot the 3.

even though you feel like you are the only one on this board that knows anything about this sport, i have news for you you're not. most people on this board understand the game and get whats going on, and anyone who knows anything about basketball can watch mcbee play for 5 minutes and say why the F is he out there playing for a sec school. the problem is we have nobody else, and as ive said most people realize that, but people like to let out frustrations and say bench his butt or dont play the stache', that is just part of being a fan and venting. it is not your place to jump on these posters and rant and rave about how mcbee is a good defender and a game manager. anyone with 1 eye can tell you that mcbee shouldnt see the floor for this university, unfortunately he does for us, as i said you arent the only person on this board that knows something about this sport, you just like to think so.all the posters here realize he shouldnt be playing for us and that he is not a good player for this team, you just fail to realize this. thats hard to believe since you're such an expert and all.

let me try to make this simple and summarize for you...

the majority of posters on here believe: skylar is a good kid who gives his all, but just doesnt have the ability. he is not shooting very good, his ball handiling isnt good, and his defense is less than stellar. most feel that if he is hitting his 3's at a good rate, 40-45%, then you can give him a pass on his defense, but when he is not shooting well which he hasnt been he's a liability.

YOU apparently feel this way: he is a game manager who ccm clearly has trust in. his shooting is just fine and if you use newton's law it's actually acceptable the % that he shoots. his defense is much better than most think and it is purely bad luck that most of the guys he defends go off when he is guarding him. he is a much better defender than everyone is giving him credit for, and he actually is a very good defender. he is a great ft shooter, but lacks the ball handling to be in at the end of games in case teams press, but he is a good game manager.

so with that said and seeing how the majority of fans here feel the way I described, and not how you feel, why is it they're wrong and your right?

so how is it that what i wrote for what majority of posters here think of skylar is wrong?

^This a 100,000

he will never comprehend any of this.you have went and done it now lol

For those that can read, I never claimed to be a famous coach. Just an asst on a team for several years. Every player on the summer teams had D1 ability, though qualifying and/or motivation were obstacles. That experience allowed me to go to clinics around the country and hear different coaches speak to audiences and watch them teach if they came to practice or a tourney to recruit. That's when I really learned the game and learned to listen.

As a matter of fact, I would advise anyone to try to go hear a HC speak if you have the opportunity. The smaller the group, the more details are discussed.

I apologize to the other posters that have had to read this crap by people on here. If a certain level of comprehension was required, most of the bs would disappear.

Both of you need to just give it a rest. Both of you make good points. Both of you make sense (for the most part). At this point you're talking in circles. Just stop. This is how the argument goes:

BTO: "blah blah blah. mcbee is this, this, and this. here's some stats that I found. You're a moron if you cant understand this."

Spart: "I believe this, this, and this about Mcbee because of my own personal experiences coaching. I heard some coaches speak so I believe this. You're reading comprehension sucks."

BTO: "You're a dumbass. No way you coached these kids. Obviously you made it up. Good luck coaching your kids lol. here's some more stats to prove the same point that I made in my other post."

Spart: "Ok dumbass, You're reading comprehension sucks. All i said was blah blah blah."

You both sound ridiculous. Just stop.

I think I heard "Chariots of Fire" playing in the background as I read this.

It's sad that McBee must be the best we can put out there since he's one-dimensional, and the one thing he can do, he can't do all that well (career .348 3P% shooter).

Skyler McBee has earned his playing time. He is a role player. His three point threat draws the defense out which opens the middle up for our big men. He is no streakier than any of the other players on this team. So get off his back.

I agree. The opposing guard has orders to stay with him regardless of what is happening in the post. The opposition fears him and thats all that matters. GBO

nobody fear him anymore, that is why our posts are being doubled and skylar has had 2-3 wide open looks off kickouts a game. 28% 3 pt shooter doesnt scare anybody, especially on the road where he's shooting 18%.

and mcbee cant do this moron

and im going to guarantee none of these coaches would call mcbee a good defender or a knockdown 3 point shooter right now. your ridiculous.

your infatuation with mcbee is scary, the following statements are true and how you can argue them i will never understand.

1. he is not a good 3 point shooter at this point
2. he is not a good shooter from 2
3. he is not a good ball handler
4. he is not good at creating offense
5. he is not good at rebounding
6. he does not take care of the ball
7. he is slow and cant guard his own man

if we had anybody else this guy would not be playing, further more if richardson was a little better offensively he'd be playing more. you may still see mcbees minutes dwindling with mcrae playing better and better, and ccm wanting to continue to play tatum.
Think again!
In 8 conference games McBee is 7th in team scoring- Tatum is 6th
Has a better shooting average from 2 and 3 than tatum.
Has only 6 TOs.
Is 4th in steals
Has a better A/TO ration than Richardson McRae Hall Stokes and Maymon.

Okay he doesn't rebound, but surprisingly out rebounds richardson.

Both are good ft shooters but the perception is Trae chokes under pressure when the game is on the line. Someone research this.

This year and last year. We still need Trae in the game and at point guard. However Trae is suspect at the end of the game. We just have nobody better at this point.

The " practice hard = more playing time" is a good system to use. It rewards them for hard work. What if
someone clearly out hustled other players in practice but the less inspired but more talented players got more playing time? That would cause players to feel that regardless of their effort in practice, they would not be able to earn more playing time.
That would not be good for morale and could be interpreted as coachs showing favortism.

Good point.:good!:

altidore is stuck on golden not being clutch a month ago dribbling the ball. if i had to pick a ft shooter IMO i pick golden, he was 90% in hs, has been 80%+ ever since being here, and he does it shooting A LOT more than mcbee.

I agree with you about Trae being the point, but, with the game on the line I would take McBee shooting the free throws 10 out of 10 times and never look back.
