Skyler McBee

Mcbee has the best release, but too many things have to happen for him to get to the release right now. The more moving parts, the more inconsistent shot. I also notice his shot looking different on a shot to shot basis.
Trae has got a head lean that kills me. Can't believe it hasn't been corrected yet. Leaning your head during the shot makes the rim a moving target

Agreed.

But, Richardson has the worst shooting form of them all. Trae might have that head lean but Richardson has a weird shooting delivery! McBee might take a little longer to release but he has better form!

I haven't said anything about richardsons form because he isn't capable of shooting 40% and his shot is ugly. Skylar is capable.

i dont know how many of you know what +/- is or the roland rating. the roland rating is on court +/- minus off court +/-. basically it tells you how the team does with you on or off the court...found this interesting.

yesterdays game

skylar mcbee -9
trae golen +25

what this says is, skylar +/- was +1 while on the floor, but with him on the bench the team is +10. this give him a total of -9.

what this says is, trae +/- was +18 while on the floor, but with him on the bench the team was -7. this gives him a total of +25.

i'll let the numbers talk

Do you really think its because trae plays better D?

IMO no thats not why, it was he is all around a better player. IMO when trae wants to play D, like yesterday he is better than mcbee on D. i dont think its a coincidence ware burnt mcbee and went off but not golden, sorry i just dont see it as mcbee being unlucky.

Roland? Can I tell you to ROLL Over & play dead? LOL! :dance2:

We do have to have Golden on the floor most of the time. We don't have another PG capable of doing squat. McBee & Richardson are SG's.

McBee might play some PG but that's not his natural position. We do have to live & die with Golden at PG. I admit that but the criticism of McBee is ridiculous!

Trae had 16 pts and several assists. If doing the analysis, you have to take into account the other players on the court as well, and the other teams players on the court.
No sure what you are arguing anyway. Every player on this team has had + games and - games. Trae had a good day yesterday.

He's a TROLL! He likes to argue with everybody! Just ignore him! That's what I'm doing from now on!

everything was takn into account i didnt come up with the numbers these are the official +/- and RR numbers. i was just pointing out that the team did a hell of a lot better with trae at pg than skylar, so we can argue the better defense of the 2 all day, at the end of the day this team is best with golden at pg.

To be fair, if you are going to make excuses for Richardson and McBee's faults at the PG position by claiming they are playing out of position, you could make the same argument for Golden. He's a natural SG as well.

What is the debate about?
is Mcbee a good player? no
should he get into the rotation? he has to because our game depends on the 3pt threat
who else can be a 3 pt threat? Mcrae? Tatum? nobody consistantly

You mean he didn't start him because UGA was going to be a W and he could risk it? How ridiculous is that commentary

He started for the reason I stated, and started the 2nd half, though somebody said he didn't play pg again. He entrusted him to get it to Stokes and Maymon early. When they come out, getting it on the box isn't as big of a priority.

And a coach will take 39% from 3 all day. That means you get basically 12 points on 10 attempts, which is the same as hitting 60% on 2 pt shots.

Your the same guy who said he wasn't in the game the last 5 min because his lack of ball handling and then in the last min he was in because of fts and to manage the game.your all over the place with Mcmiss.Like I said if you can't play any kind of D then your no use and he can't play D period.Like the one poster stated Mcmiss man had his avergae in the 1st 5 min of the game.

Its like what I always say:

Arguing on the internet is like running in the special Olympics. Even if you win, youre still retarded.

You are borderline ocd at times. Stats, response after response that are responding to nothing that was said.
Who said this team has a better chance at winning games with sklar running point the whole game? Nobody. That doesn't mean a guy doesn't need to sit, watch, rest and get coached up on the bench. It also doesn't mean his sub's role is the same as his. Skylar doesn't play the same role at pg. His job isn't to dribble penetrate and finish or dish.

Again, every week on Sunday, I think you argue so much, you don't even know what you are arguing about.

The stats weren't for the purpose of showing who should start at PG it was showing that skylar is providing nothing to this team that is all. People were saying he's a great defender a major contributor, I was simply proving that with skylar on the floor we were a worse team. Your overreacting and analyzing everything, my post was very simple just showing skylar when not shooting is a liability and hurts this team.

Isn't this thread about skylar?

Go have a sit down with CM and ask him why he is playing Skylar, since he, in your words, brings nothing to the team. That's the stupidest thing I've read. Almost amusing.

Simply put, Skylar does nothing defensively to earn playing time. The only reason I see him playing at all is if you're desperately needing threes or foul trouble. No reason to keep him in other than shooting.

And you go sit down with him and ask why he used the same lineup which you whined about! Neuter ones gonna happen ago you laugh at me and I'll laugh at you...

I'VE SAID 100 times I get why he plays him, you clearly eithe are just slow or hav no memory, because ive repeatedly said I understand why he plays him.

Exactly. And when he's not shooting a good percent such as 28% in the sec he should have a very short leash. I just wish we had another guard so all these mcbee homers could ask why he's the water boy.
