Skyler McBee

Manage the game with 27 seconds left? Man, are you retarted? No sarcasm.
He was inserted at the end of the game for ft's. That's been said a dozen times. When he is inserted in the game at pg at other times, his job is to manage/run the team-pass the ball, run the clock, run the offense, knock down some shots, get the ball on the block, call out defensive signals. That's what he's supposed to do. It's a value to the team.
You guys that don't see that really don't fully understand the game. I don't know how else to put it. That's why its not worth arguing anymore. Many on here understand. And a handful of you don't.

:lolabove: at its a value to the team him playing pg. there is a reason he started at pg and saw a total of 6 minutes at pg last night :eek:lol:

I dont understand why you cant admit that Skylar isnt a good defender at this level of basketball.

He's not a bad one either lyls. It has nothing to do with admitting anything. He makes mistakes. If he was that bad at it, wouldn't other players get the call to D up the other teams best scorer? CM doesn't think he's a bad defender. Why would I?

who is this? last time i checked ware was the 3rd best scorer on UGA.

6 minutes of pg play in a game of 40 minutes is a big deal to 100% of the coaches in the sport.

Learn the game.

the only reason he got 6 was because he started the game, do you really not see that? wanna make a friendly wager that he doesnt see 6 minutes at PG next game?

They both did, and Lamb had one of his best games of the season considering competition level.

For ft shooting. Everyone but you understands. Again. I won't try to explain anything else to fools who won't listen and don't read well. It's getting old. You and your stat buddy are at a 6th grade level of reading comprehension.

who is everyone ? it seems to me your in this by yourself.tell us again how he was in the game to manage it but he cant handle the ball.then you said he was in for fts but only shoots what 72% and Golden shoots 81%

hey your the one who said he was brought in for fts and to manage the game.

heres Spartacus quote

Why is he out there now? For ft shooting. He's managing the game. I love when clowns that never coached tell others how to coach, much less the HC.

I was at the Georgia game last night and they guy he was covering was on fire. I don't know if you can see the whole thing on tv but they were setting multiple picks on him each trip down the floor. I've complained about him as much as anybody but it doesn't appear like anyone is willing to let him know a pick is coming.

Lamb was 8/17, 2/6 from 3 and had 3 rebounds.

Oh man just about 50% from field, 33% from 3 which by your theory equates to like 60% , and he had free throws ends up with 23 points, 6 points over his average. yea great D. Yea ask a coach if he takes that stat line, everyday as you like to say. im sure ccm would.

McBee was out there for ft shooting. The question that I was answering referenced CM. CM was managing the game by putting him in the game when it was apparent they would foul. Thats why I mention the HC in the next sentence.
McBee also does manage the game as a backup when asked, but that has nothing to do with my comments in regards to CM managing the last few minutes of the game, including not putting McBee in too early and have him affected by the pressure, but also getting him in the game when needed for ft's. Again, he's worthless to the team, which is why the coach would put him in to ice the game, right?

McBee shoots 81% too.

That's been the problem and there is no vocal leader. The excuse that noone can speak up is old, and you don't have to be a pg to call it out. Skylar has enough problems with a guy getting a step on him, but it is magnified when he turns his head looking for a pick and the guy takes off. It's terrible technique to turn his head so much.

Guys, I know I'm always clowing on the kid but wtf??? I know this team is lacking serious talent but Skyler McBee should NEVER see the floor! Our three point (in my best jimmy dykes voixe) DEADLY SHOOTER is so darn streaky that i close my eyes everytime he takes a shot. Game after game he proves he cant keep up with guys but Bruce played 'em and so is Martin and all i hear is he works hard in practice. Seriously though...who cares! Working hard in practice aint translating to helping in games. I like that martin probably smacked some sense into golden but Washpun is even an upgrade over this guy. Am I seriously just missing something because i just dislike the guy so much or what??

I, along with the entire home crowd, went nuts when they introduced him in the starting lineup. He also scored in double figures. I don't get all the hate...

Skylar gives every ounce of himself to UT! He plays hard, and plays quite capable more often than not. His man scored 13 points, he scored 10! He fought through screens, and a lot of them were solid screens. He played well last night, and has played well most of the season IMO.

You give me 10/23 from the field from their lottery pick and I'll take it. Guarantee you CM will take it.

Why are you bringing other players into the discussion? This was a discussion about Jeremy Lamb and Skylar McBee. Don't introduce irrelevant information in an attempt to deflect attention away from the fact that you picked a bad game to laud McBee's defensive ability.
