This was my plan, too. I wound up going with Hulu Live. I was paying $13 a month for the Disney+ Hulu and ESPN+ bundle anyway, and upgrading to Hulu Live added $57 ($70 for the package). Cost me about the same as Sling, and I don't have to worry about the odd game on ABC or CBS. Plus I get B1G network in case for someone reason I want to watch that.I was going to use Sling orange + the SEC network add-on + Paramount Plus for CBS games. Total cost about $57 / month.
Checking this thread for any better ideas.
I am sure the info has already been posted somewhere, but for us folks who got rid of most cable and switched to streaming; how do we make sure to get the maximum number of Vols games?
Last year, I caught almost all of them on YouTube but based on week 0 experimenting Saturday, it’s looks like those are getting shut down for copyright infringement much more quickly this year.
I tried the crazy Disney ESPN+ bundle once but never could get it to work.
What is the path to streaming enlightenment oh fellow Vol fans?

We have four sons, so we have the family account. 3 streams per. And that's at the same time. Very rare that we have more than one or two streaming TV on the same account. Especially with the multiview or whatever they call it.What that also gets you is unlimited streams in your household / family group verses 3. The 3 streams is a deal breaker for me, I need a minimum of 4. Also with that is 2 out of household streams. So I may end up there. Fubo has unlimited streams - but DVR cloud is limited and my family records a lot of shows.
ESPN+ really is useless. Aside from watching minor games (like this weekend’s) I have yet to find it worthwhile, and much like you, only have it as part of the bundle.unless you plan to steal cable, you're gonna have to pay for something.
I like the layout of YoutubeTV. FUBO is cheaper as is Sling.
I really wish those peckerwoods at Disney would release the ESPN streaming app. ESPN+ is barely worth the money and I probably wouldn't pay for it if I didn't enjoy HULU and D+.
HELP! I am streaming alternative ignorant. Just read thru this entire thread and it seems to be YTTV and Fubo lead the way situation for a simple solution. Not specifically addressed was the required internet connection. I am in an Xfinity service area just across the Blount County line.
Is there an alternative or do I just drop my cable and/or landline services and then select the streaming service(s), or is there now an alternative?
Hate to sound too stupid, but can this be accomplished with my functional but not SMART tv with a box or a stick? Would that be cost effective? I assume I would have to purchase my own modem and wifi or could that remain in a Xfinity solution?
I do live in a good place for AIR tv for local Knoxville content if a factor.
Local TV news, UT sports, really want to keep my Braves access and NFL Redzone, are my key drivers. I can get my oldies TV off the AIR solutions if needed.
Guess I should just get my grandson back from college and use his input if not a simple solution on here. He has been my go to for cell phone stuff for years.
THANKS>>>>
Redzone is included in basic package w/ YTTV and all ESPN channels. You don't need cable TV or a land line, just internet access and a modem/router to get Wifi. At that point, from what you're saying you want to watch, YTTV should take care of your needs. Not sure about NFL Redzone.

At the top of the app there should be a "Live" option. There is a guide that looks very much like cable TV.Admit I am not streaming smart. Downloaded the YoutubeTV free service and admit it is a difficult site to navigate. I can find individual channels like ESPN. Is there a channel guide or anything like that? Maybe I am limited on use due to it just being the free download.
