The heat will be on McElwain even more when Florida goes 6-6 this season. Jim McElwain's name will be in the top 10 on that College Football Coaching Hotseat website.

Lol

Yall better hope Butch can win big games. Only beating SC isn't going to keep his seat cold.

Butch = Zookers

Not even close...although if you think about it, Dooley was so bad he made Zook look like a decent coach....In reality Zook isn't even close to Butch in coaching class.

It's as though McElwain is headed into Year 3 in Gainesville, with "signature" wins against South Carolina, and two inexplicable losses against two of the worst UT squads in a generation.

But sure, OUR coach is on the hot seat... :)

Yet somehow Mac is on par with Dooley after success as an OC at Fresno and
Bama then rebuiding CSU in 3 yrs....yeah he's a Dooley clone.

If Butch doesn't win 9 games or beat a rival or two then he's pretty much is Zook. Avg coach but great recruiter.

God forbid Vol fans making fun of florida's coach on a Tennessee board.

Your coach looks like a retarded donkey. deal with it.

Everyone's making fun of McElwain looking like a raccoon, present company included.

There's only a handful of unenlightened souls attempting to compare McElwain's coaching ability with Dooley, or suggest that McElwain will be on the hot seat following a mediocre season.

Anyone paying attention with half a brain can see McElwain's resume is far superior to Dooley.

As far as the hot seat goes, given the past two years (let alone the last ten) and pre-season expectations, who faces more pressure from their respective fan base for losing our game in September, Jones or McElwain?

If looks mattered in coaching, Muschamp would have been winless vs UT.

Just a honest question, if Florida loses to Tennessee after this recent domination? What's the reaction from Gator fans ?

And by "recent" you mean the last 25 years? :)

If we lose to you guys this year, I'd be disappointed, but at some point all winning streaks end.

Given the expectations of both teams, I'd guess UF fans would be less disappointed losing to UT than UT fans would be if they lost to us.

Yeah...we got the Vol fan reaction down pat. :). My question is if Tennessee pulls out a win this year against your new coach, does that affect the consensus opinion of him with your fanbase?

Four weeks into his gig at UF? Doubtful.

We have our idiot Walmart sidewalk alums like Waco who overreact and think the sky is falling whenever a little adversity hits. However I'd wager the majority of our fans expect to take a step back this year while McElwain rebuilds the offense.

Unless McElwain mismanages the clock like Zook did in the first half of our '03 game, or sticks with the starting QB too long like Muschamp almost did last year, or plays not to lose like Muschamp did every game, chances are he'll get a pass if we lose to UT.
