Honestly, I think the difference between the rosters is exaggerated by UT fans.
If you really break it down, the two teams are very close.
Production at the WR position is not exaggerated. Is that potentially a product of better QB play? I wouldn't doubt it. But the bottom line is, we have a WR corps who's produced. Outside of Robinson, no one at UF has.
On defense yes, on offense the Gators are no where close to the Vols talent wise.
Disagree UF is "nowhere close" to UT on offense in terms of talent.
Production? Absolutely. The last two seasons our WRs had to deal with an idiot coach and multiple QB injuries.
UF and UT WR stables, nowhere even close.
Our RBs are just fine, even without Lane.
Long distance between 'fine' and our RBs. Sorry. It's just true.
The UVA transfer McGee is an instant upgrade over the two stiffs we had playing TE last year. We just need him not to break his leg in he first game again.
The OL is a potential train wreck however...no getting around that.
HG you can't be "content" with the WR position. UT had 7 guys who had 200+ yards receiving and returns all 7, UF had 2 and only returns 1.
Ad you left out QB, which will be huge.
I think UT's O will be far more proficient than UF's. The main outlier will be how OL affects each team.
I'll take DRob over anything y'all have. Like Pig tho. I also believe PW is going beast for Vols.
Not impressed by Malone or Pearson. North looks like a million bucks. Still can't figure him out.
Like what we have in Powell, Call away.and CJ Worton. Think Fulwood breakout this season. I count Goolsby and CLewis as WR. Both will be match problems for S and LB.
Grier is an upgrade over Driskel and Harris. Jury's out on what happens when the lights come on and the bullets start flying.
I get the optimism over Dobbs, but I can promise you our secondary will be the best he'll face all year...our defense is much more athletic than Iowa and more talented than South Carolina.
The infusion of talent on UT's DL concerns me. You guys made huge strides there.
I would take the combination over Hurd, but you have to include Kamara in there, which is why I like our situation slightly more.
It's close though. Both situations are good for each team.

I agree with pretty much what everyone has said the last few posts. I think taken as a whole, UT is ahead by a bit on offense, and UF is ahead of UT by a bit on defense, and on special teams the teams are about equal.
I don't think UT fans give enough credit to the players on UF's offensive roster and I don't think UF fans give UT enough credit for their defensive roster.
It should be a very good game.
You and I almost agree. Although I think the only position on defense that you're better is your secondary and it's a slim margin. Subjectively speaking, I think the only position on your entire team that's better than ours is your secondary and maybe your punter.
