So who replaces Graham...

Not sure when he was offered the job but at least Jay Graham stayed through recruiting period.

Jay Graham was responsible for almost half our recruits. Yes he missed on an elite running back but he is the reason our class was respectable.

Correct! Ferguson and North would not be here if it were not for Graham. I can't comment on the recruiting of Dobbs.

Sounds like we have a future Fire Butch fan....ignore list keeps getting bigger

Seems like only yesterday these same kind of statements were made about Dooley. I hope Butch succeeds, but I'll have no hesitation in wanting him fired if he doesn't improve our team. People need to decide if they're Vol fans or coach fans. If the ship continues to sink, are you going to continue supporting the coach at the helm, or will you throw him overboard and look for someone else to fix this disaster? At this point, it's like we're on the damn Titanic.

And to clarify, I understand what Butch has walked into and don't expect an overnight turn around. But if we're in the same place 2-3 years from now, then he's failed.

Trooper would be a great hire. I don't think Butch will hire him if he thinks there will be a problem. So even if he gets through the NCAA, Butch has final say. Solid recruiter. Solid coach. Cheap. What more could you ask for?

Football coaches always has input on their schedule. Also, what big time team has he beaten? Not knocking the guy at all. I am one who is tired of investing time and money into a product I can't get excited about. Couple that with the economy and being tight with money, I don't feel confident in him. Does that mean I could be wrong and have to eat crow? Yes. And I hope to God that does happen.

No they don't.......coaches have "almost" no input in the schedule.

So I guess Phil always scheduling two BCS teams OOC games was not his doing. Or Saban scheduling at Bama, or Miles at LSU.

A lot of coaches have a lot of input and give a yay/nay about who they play. Granted its the final say with the AD, but if a coach says he wants to play a top 5 team, he gets it. On the flip side, if a coach says I don't wanna play a top 5 team, he doesn't. Its 50/50 on scheduling bro.

There will be alot of mad fans then. If it is true that CBJ couldn't get more money for Jay, how on earth can we get a Huge Hire? This nightmare is about to land on Elm Street. We as a program, cannot handle anymore bad news. Got to be positive from here on, before the toilet stops up and over flows.

Unless Nick Saban clones himself in Orange the Tennessee Vols may really go the way of Ole Miss (until now that is).

Minnesota had great teams in the 40's...

Just sayin'

I for one am not going to expect anything positive anymore. This program was destroyed by apathy, incompotence, neglect and "entitlement" and no one that makes decisions seems to really give a dam and is not serious about fixing it.

Maybe Butch Jones is the second coming but just like Dooley the chances of him surviving this thing, especially now that the conference is so far ahead of us, is slim.

Why do so many people assume Trooper committed major violations? He was pulled off the road for secondary violations. Auburn also pulled Thigpen off the road the year before but nobody seems concerned about that. It's amazing how many people know so little yet have so much to say.

Trooper has done it multiple times. You need to go back and look at all the things he has done(especially to ut). Smdh

You all are ridiculous. Everyone is loving the stuff CBJ is doing and then a coach leaves by his own choice and everyone is "getting tired of all the family talk". People are saying he is all talk. If he still needs to prove himself to show he is good, then I think he still probably needs to show it on the field to show he was a bad hire as well.

Everyone assumes that every RB coach in the country is available and we should get the very best one. CBJ will do his best to get the right fit for this program, and he will try to talk to as many coaches as he thinks he needs to. He did not come here to try and screw this program over, so everyone needs to stop assuming he will hire the worst guy possible.

Last year Dooley hired several pretty good coaches but they did not mesh well. CBJ is trying to make sure everyone on staff meshes well together. Let him do his job.

Can anyone read the new article on GoVols247? It has Trooper Taylor on the front page. It list some candidates that might end up in Knoxville.

ouch, USMC1, we all know who you are, and hearing you say this means more than the average poster. I, for one, can't wait for the season to start. My hope is that Ferguson and North made a decision based on more than just one man. We'll all miss Jay, but as Robert Frost says, "life goes on"

I actually think Roy Manning would be a good hire. Young, energetic, African American coach who played in the NFL. Seems very well liked by his players and brings a lot of energy to practice. I know IF he is hired there will be the same old contingent of miserables that wanted TT but I have come to accept those people. They will never be happy and will always find something to complain about.

I know this may be too soon, but Spring Practice is just around the corner. Who do you think CBJ looks to to replace Graham?

How about Don Solinger from Univ. of Miami Canes. Great RB coach who coached Frank Gore, McGahee and others. Just a thought

Ferguson loved UT pre Graham

I don't know who he is. Except, that he is a fellow Marine. Enlighten me. Really I don't know.

Oh, and Semper Fi USMC1.
