I think when we win 7-9 games in 2013 and are playing in a bowl game it will be the product on the field and not so much the assistant coaches/recruiters who will be the biggest boost to recruiting. These coaches could very well recruit with the best of them. Kids need to see us winning to jump on board.

The guys that I see reeling in the top talent in the conference do not look like the people on our staff. I've got no faith in this bunch to do any better than what they just delivered even with 7 wins and Music City bowl appearance. Frankly, it'll be worse without CJG. They have to make some hay.

Yea I know. Just doesn't fit with what Butch has done so far. Would go explicitly against what he has said he wants in a staff. At least it would give me something to piss and moan about for the next few years.

I liked Trooper when he was here. I didn't like some things that went down when Trooper left and I couldn't stand him at Auburn. That said it seems like the only way to recruit and win in this conference is by being at least a little shady. If we want to win I'm afraid we're going to have to sell our souls. Lets put our hats on backwards and hire Trooper.

If TT gets this kind of hype from potential recruits without stepping a foot on campus, he's our guy? We need someone who can close the deal on some 4 and 5-star players. Sounds to me like hiring TT puts at least a couple in the bag, where Graham went 0-fer.

Most of the kids TT recruits are interested in TT. We just terminate his contract and we've wasted time having a scum bag recruit kids who won't have anything to do with us when he's gone. TT is not the messiah of recruiting. There are guys out there who can recruit without sanctions.

Jay Graham was responsible for almost half our recruits. Yes he missed on an elite running back but he is the reason our class was respectable.

Why do so many people assume Trooper committed major violations? He was pulled off the road for secondary violations. Auburn also pulled Thigpen off the road the year before but nobody seems concerned about that. It's amazing how many people know so little yet have so much to say.

It's hard to make a "big time" hire when your only hiring a rb's coach. Seriously what do you expect? If a coach is considered a "big time" hire he likely passed rb coach along time ago.
