Some Thoughts on the UT BB season so far

UT's issue is that it doesn't really have any special players. It's got some decent/sometimes good players, but no wow players. I like Tyler Smith, but all this talk for two years about his NBA career--see the current govols story about deferring his pro career--has been a joke. He works hard and he's tough, two very good qualities, but he's a tweener who is not a natural scorer. He will be lucky to make an nba team, in my view. Chism has skills but doesn't stay in the paint when it matters; everyone else is no better than OK. I do think the whole of this team can be/is better than the sum of its parts, but teams with parts (meaning a couple of really talented players) are usually the ones that end up in the final four.

Emain you are making me laugh.

I destroyed those who claimed Lawrence Frank is clearly an improvement on Bruce.

Some said he won with no talent. I pointed out talent he had he could not win with. Then some said "he cannot help the lack of talent, he is not the GM"

Whatever...Lawrence Frank did his best work with guys who had just recently had a different coach and he failed dramatically as a coach once it was guys he was involved in bringing in and coaching up.

He had public fights with some of his best players (Devin Harris go very angry) and he is not swimming in job offers.

Musselman was even more fun because it was even easier to show how truly absurd it is to claim that we should bring him to TN.

um, you didn't destroy anyone.

At least you have that in common! I bet you're thrilled!

Various guys on here hate CBP. Many of those guys strongly dislike me as well. I despise any racists I see. I do not like them calling Bruce "tanning bed" but I have not seen any antisemitism at all. When everyone got mad and mocked the significance of what Bruce was doing in Israel, it was because we lost Selby while Bruce was out of the country doing something that was great for him and great for his son but not really of benefit to our program.
