Some top grad transfers for UT to pursue

85 doesn't affect the 25. Can sign up to 25 each year. Hubs saying as it sits now we can sign up to 23 next class. Can always fwd count again to sign 25 but 23 will be the number without having to move numbers around assuming the 2 blue shirts enroll and assuming we don't sign any more Grad transfers.

Thank you as well.

So it looks like Alexander may be in play now. I still think Harvey is worth a visit even with the knee. As far as OL goes Murphy might be worth a look since he has a lot of starting experience but how good was TTU’s line is up for debate. Overall, if the experience is there and the fit is good there are guys worth giving a year of our time to.

Why not get a nasty DL grad transfer who is willing to switch?

I think you can take a first or second year DLmen and successfully convert them into successful OLmen. I am not so sure that it is worth the scholarship on a grad transfer. It takes time to learn the offense and a younger OLman could be gaining valuable experience.

Coaches definitely want to pick up an OL, but other schools have already snapped up the best prospects. Feder has two years of eligibility left, but he never made the field at OSU. Roundtree and Matthews only have a year left. Matthews didn't play at K-State and Roundtree couldn't make the two-deep at Louisville. If we seriously go after any of these guys, you'd think it would be Feder since he has that extra year.

Federal has potential but couldn't stay healthy. Prob a concern and why he hasn't landed anywhere yet

His injuries are def an issue. Not sure any of the OL transfers remaining would be worth a spot if it weren't for the uncertainty about Smith and Hall. Both could end up being a no-go and we won't know for a while.

Only reason I asked was Khalil Mackenzie possibly being looked at as a guard in NFL. He may be an exception and his dad may have advised him he has a better chance on offense.

SIAP, but Brinkley Jolly from Wyoming, and John Cook from Central Arkansas are two more OL that are now available. Jolly, originally a TE, started 7 games in 2016, but only appeared in 1 game in 2017. Cook was a 2nd team FCS All-American OT.
