Some unnoticed things from Bama win

This. I don't remember HH getting nearly this much time to throw last near. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a noticable difference from last year. More noticeable is the difference in gaps for the RBs.
He is stepping into the pocket a lot more often instead of having to almost immediately scramble. Trust is a big deal. I bet if you watch his sacks taken last year and this, they happened outside or on the edge of the tackle box in most cases. A pocket is being created for him to stand in this is also why the run game is doing so well we are getting push up the middle.

Interior line play on both sides of the ball has improved a ton since last year.

I think personally speaking, when we’d get behind or lose momentum in past games we just gave in and that was it. Saturday tho, I was so damn proud that when we did get behind or lose the momentum that we answered. No one hung their heads. We got the ball and scored. The late fumble I was sure was it. But no sir, we took the ball and scored. Freaking awesome man

15 seconds to win. Last season JH would have taken a kneel down and settled for OT. This season he trusts Hooker to get 30 yds and a chance to win. This coach is learning and growing and I don't blame him with Mr Hendon Cool Hooker at the helm.

I agree he’s learning and getting better. But no way he would’ve taken a knee last year. Coach would’ve gone for the win exactly like he did Saturday.

I like how the line gets in there and dig and push #20 they all keep digging.

I'm not sure where to put this or even what to make of it. In case you are wondering... What did Derek Dooley do after the Bama loss on Saturday?

Answer: he stood in a corner and ate cold spaghetti.

Somehow that might be the most Derek Dooley thing ever.

AL rushing: 31 carries, 114 yards, 3.7 yds avg
TN rushing: 39 carries, 182 yards, 4.7 yds avg

To me, these numbers are a testament to both our lines. OL and DL are both for real.

Amen

Holding Gibbs in check was massive in this game.

He got some yards but never really exploded.

That guy is scary with the ball in his hands as a threat to score on any play.

Or how about being at the goal line under center and handing it off to a full back? I enjoyed it.

Hey we’re bowl eligible what about that overlooked fact.

That's a goal of mediocre programs and was an important thing here over the last decade. We have hopefully now reached the point where bowl eligibility will simply be assumed and nothing to get excited about. We have way bigger fish to fry.
