Something that caught my eye....

Well let me help you Mr. Funny man...

take your head outa your butt and maybe you will start to see the light.

i was a Vol Fan before Johnny, seen these Vols go thru many changes...but never seen so many people that claim to be fans, down our program, our leaders, and our coaches> just dont see what you get outa bashing our program?..just dont understand why you have to be that way. And its clear most of you enjoy it.

Who said I was bashing the program?

I love the Hell out of UT and send money to show my love.

The difference is that I can voice my opinion on what I think is a shoddy hire and what is not.

he actually does appear to be apologizing for his earlier statements on the matter, so perhaps best to call off the dogs at this point

Wasnt putting the dogs on him...just something for the young man to think about..helping him if you will.

Btw the reference about the hillbillies was just from people I've seen in Tennessee. My aunt lives there and I've experienced it, my apologies if I pissed anybody off by that statement. Lesson learned.

Yeah...if there's anything you're going to need to learn before you move off to college it's to avoid making broad, sweeping, public generalizations of entire groups of people based on extremely limited experience with said people...

You're going to find yourself surrounded by alot of people who don't look/act/think/speak/believe exactly like you (probably for the first time in your life) so this is going to be very important for your well being

why is this such a shoddy hire? what intell do you have that lets you know for a fact this wont work?

Dooley is a good man, good morals, i dont feel he can hurt the program anymore than its already been hurt.im tired of musical coaches..i hope he realy works out,so im gonna do my part to help him,to help UT.

Just help me understand where you guys are coming from?

Where are we getting?

And it's been discussed to death about why I think DD was a bad hire.

At the end of the day I hope he succeeds. I just sincerely believe he will not.

Then post it up here where i said you had to have a bust in canton to post...go get it ..

You're feeble attempt at saying one couldn't have an opinion on football without playing or coaching was what pj was referencing in the bust of Canton.

You playing dumb doesn't surprise me in the least.

Now you're playing the age card.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Not really. I know that some of those who are not Chik'n Lil's are young. Some of those who are claim to be older.

As a general rule though... yeah, the older, more experienced, more mature fans here make up the bulk of those who are willing to give the guy a chance and see what happens. The bulk of those preaching gloom and doom and missing Kiffin are younger fans.

Nobody playing dumb, you just dont have the mentality to understand. It bothers you cause its easy for us that have played, have coached, and even refed,to spot fakes like you, when you post such BS as you post.you have no respect of others, you insult, name call and think your something. Well heres something back at ya...Its easy to see you were to big a puss to ever play football, cause you sure know nothing about what you speak, you ride the coat tails of all the others who might know something.Im headed out to mow my beautiful green grass, but if you come back tomorrow, i may teach you a thing or two about the real game.Have a great day!:devilsmoke:

personality alone though doesnt automatically mean someone's going to be a good coach
Not at all. Just saying it is a mistake to dismiss DD simply because he doesn't act like Kiffin. Most coaches whether successful or unsuccessful don't act like Kiffin.

and while at it, you're age classifications are too broad and incorrect. I know multiple cases of both old fans who didn't like fulmer as well as young ones who wanted someone they felt was more mature (or "talked less and coached more")

Yes... just generalities... not absolute fault lines.

I think everyone has a right to their own opinion, but as far as those who have no experience actually playing/coaching the game (other than NCAA Football or Madden) it's hard to take your opinion serious.

Example: I have no experience playing the stock market, and don't claim to, but if you were looking to invest money would you really take my opinion on what to invest in serous?

Example: I have never flown an air plane but have flown countless times. Do you think the pilot would give two $***s about how I thought he should land the plane?

Just sayin'

Its just not logical to have such negative feelings towards dooley. All he did was come here, when no other more popular coach would, salvage the recruitment along with thompson and chaney, and assemble a reasonable staff. Its this time next year when we should be having these feelings it he's headed to failure. All this negative crap now is just mental or someone having an odd sense of humor.

and you can like it or not, the truth hurts..if youve never been a coach, how do you even know what a coaches job is?..if youve never been on a football team, what makes you a guru about what a team should be?...yes, there is a difference between the guys that have played and the ones who have not.
You are barking up the wrong tree. He told me yesterday that organizations worldwide are wasting their time with programs to encourage positive attitudes and positive images... all you have to do is hire the right person... or so he says. IOW's, find someone who pleases everyone and everything will be just fine:birgits_giggle:.

The guys out there playing for our team realy like CDD,and they have had three different ones to judge by,..they know whats going on, are you guys thinking you know more than they do?..you all act like it.
Is this from media sources or do you have other connections?

oh yeah, that's big anywhere you go. that can cause a whole lot of problems most anywhere
