Your line will be much improved by the time our game rolls around. I wouldn’t put much stock into week 1 if I was youChecking in. As I mentioned the OL was a worry. It’s awful. We will get drilled by Tennessee unless miraculously it improves. They had 2 injuries. One expected back and didn’t play. Starting center went out early so they had some issues. But it’s Mano y Mano in the trenches. Oh sure technique is huge and scheme but at the end of the day it’s push. If we can’t push Temple then good luck. 1-12 on third down vs Temple? Are you serious? Our great OL coach’s weakness is loathing playing youngsters. When they played they pushed around Temple. He overvalues technique and experience. We’ll see but the little I watched of the Vols we have a long ways to go. It’s pretty sad because it’s indeed our best defense in a long time.
Had a hella time in Knoxville a couple of years ago. Got to see the stadium - awesome. As our initial SEC contest nears, just want to put the two teams in perspective.
UT OU
NC's (Claimed) 6 7
Conf. Championships 16 50
Head-to-head (W/L) 1 3
Heisman trophy 0 7
N/C games since 2000 2 4
Consensus AA Players 41 82
See ya' in Norman, guys.
Y’all have 2 more warm up games to rectify OL issues. Y’all will be fine.Checking in. As I mentioned the OL was a worry. It’s awful. We will get drilled by Tennessee unless miraculously it improves. The only comparison that matters this year will be each team’s score at the end of the game in Norman. Come back here for that comparison.Had a hella time in Knoxville a couple of years ago. My only experience with the state of Oklahoma was the city of Miami. As I drove through it, my only impression was that i couldn’t help but feel as though crackheads were scurrying behind cover as the sun rose in the sky. They sought the cover of darkness both out of relief from the honesty of daylight as well as the actual discomfort they felt from the suns rays.I like Oklahoma as a state. I've spent a lot of time in the SW pocket and I love it there. Great hunting and the people are salt of the earth. Just a very humble/gritty bunch of cowpokes.
I brought a bunch of them to Neyland for the Arky game in 2007 and they we're the life of the party at Cotton Eye Joe's that night.
Oh no, you don’t get to post this yet. You just wait bud, this thread has too much potential gold in it for you to ruin it week 1.Checking in. As I mentioned the OL was a worry. It’s awful. Coming to the game. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn near the stadium. Any advice on how best to get to the stadium? Uber? Drive rental and find lots nearby? Hotel shuttle services? Any advice would be much appreciatedHello again Vols. Week 1 is just about in the books. Surprisingly, most of the "big" games went according to projections.
Nice win over the Chattanooga Mocs. I'd say the Tennessee/Oklahoma game is 100% on track to be a great game.

Appreciate the info, this will be my first time to Norman, couldn’t be more excited! The thing about a rental is that parking is a challenge. Uber's could be a challenge too and Uber's rates go up when busy -- I'd try the hotel shuttle if that's an option.
You can show up early and check out those tailgating. Probably get offered a free beer from the Sooner fans. Campus Corner is located north of campus near student union. You can find multiple food options there. On campus food will likely be in service around lunch and dinner times. Try to get there 3 hours before kickoff.
OU's campus is fun to just stroll. For any college football fan you MUST view the Heisman statues; those are east of the stadium.
You and yours will be treated very well in Norman, this time and every time. Hope you enjoy it all. As it has been pointed out in many previous posts, this is our pro football. Just the way it is.It is going to be tough playing OKLAHOMA @ home, but Nico will have more experience by then and the relievers will also be better. It should be a very good ballgame.
Then your fanbase at least will fit in very well in the SEC. I tell people unfamiliar with UT football in particular or southern football in general that the NFL is nothing more than a “Where are they now?” show to us. Imagine my shock when I moved to Colorado and there were Broncos fans everywhere. Even here in Ohio, people care about the Bengals or Browns a lot, even if they care about the Buckeyes more. You and yours will be treated very well in Norman, this time and every time.
