Sooner fan really looking forward to the game

If we're making it to the SEC title game, we can't be too far down.

I count 2008 as the start of the Dark Ages.

Go Vols!

For Tennessee it was for the following:

2000-2010 was the first decade were Tennessee did NOT have an SEC Championship

2001 was the only year were Tennessee finished in the AP top 10

Tennessee lost bowl games in 2000, 2003, 2006, and 2009. They only had 3 bowl wins that decade (2001, 2004, 2007).

Tennessee lost to Vanderbilt for the first time in two decades in 2005.

LMAO. Oklahoma dominated the 70’s . Oklahoma & Miami the 80’s. Nebraska the 90’s. Florida was irrelevant for the last 50 years of the 1900’s and LSU. The SEC became the dominant ( key word dominant ) when Saban took over at Bama. UF had a nice run when Stoops joined them and with Urbam Meyer in the 2000’s and LSU a few years this century and of course UGA now. But I don’t give 2 craps about Auburn they are like Tenn 1 title in the last 50 years.
Oklahoma cheated big time in the 1970’s. They should have been ruled ineligible for their 2 national titles in mid 70’s. Switzer had high school transcripts changed to get players into OU. They paid players but I suspect most schools did back then. Larry lacewell admitted that Oklahoma would spy other teams practices and record formations and signals.

SEC domination--judged entirely by national championship titles--began with the first year of the BCS, after the 1998 season.* Count national titles from that point on if you want to confirm. EDIT: here, I'll do it for you:

National title count from the 1998 season, first year of the BCS/CFP era:

* SEC - 14 (Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Bama, Auburn and Georgia -- Saban was 7 of those, but he sure didn't start it and definitely wasn't alone)
* ACC - 5 (Miami, FSU, Clemson)
* B10 - 3 (Ohio St, Michigan)
* B12 - 2 (Texas, Oklahoma)
* PAC - 1 (USCw)

Is that what you say when others are making valid point after valid point, but you just don't want to believe it?

Heh.

Go Vols!

* And since the championship was not settled on the field before then, who knows how much earlier the SEC actually achieved dominance? It's a question worth pondering.
Don’t know what to tell you man. In the 17 years Saban was at Alabama the SEC won 71% of the NC’s. In the previous 17 years 29% . It is what it is.

Talking about OU cheating seems there was some brown bags at McDonalds recently. Seriously I laughed so loud my dog woke up and thought there was an earthquake.

Oh, no, I think he's absolutely enjoying every second of this pathetic elementary school troll job.

After that "dominant" 16-12 win over Houston, I don't think he's got anywhere else to go. Which means he's going to sit here and peddle his "aw shucks I'm just chatting ya" crap for another ten days. Ugh.
No I’ve got 25 years of relevance Tenn not so much. Going thru coaches like popcorn

Just for edification, many respectful opposing fan posters set up screennames on here to share football takes and maybe glean some information about a season opponent. You jumped In red clay boots deep with the “My grandpa kin beat yorn!” background noise garbage and little to nothing else. So what do you THINK you’re getting out of all this? Convert some lifetime Vol fans to Sooners? Get some to give up following football and switch to cricket? Level with us. You don’t seem to be enjoying your experience. More like throwing thirty years of receipts on the table for an audit. 🤨
I’ve been responding in good discussion with solid objectionable posters but a few of these guys….

Aww, they're so cute when they try to internet good.
I’ll lay off if you can’t handle it. I don’t start it check my responses. They are to other snarly posts. You are probably going to whoop us you don’t want me around to celebrate. I’ll be here at least that week after.

Oh spare me the unending condescension. I can handle myself just find. You've just been a lousy troll and a poor "guest" on our board. You've got absolutely nothing to contribute other than your haughty arrogance, and we've already got that around here - it's called Alabama.

See yourself out. Or don't. It doesn't matter.

You’re good is there an ignore button? I won’t respond to you if you don’t me. Deal? I’ll respond neighborly to all that do as well to me. But I’m not going to miss trolling back.

He gave you a free history lesson and this is how you respond? Enjoy your 30-point loss in two weeks and the 5-7 season. Get used to it. Oklahoma will be on par with Arkansas from now on.

Big 12 23-22 vs SEC the last 10 years. 🤷‍♂️🤪🤦‍♂️🤣😂🫣
I have frequently noticed that often many of the bowl match ups are a mid SEC team vs. a top whatever conference they are playing against. Were you tracking bowl games or regular season games? If regular season, did you note each team’s ranking when the game was played? Lot of variables, I don’t follow websites etc. where such data is recorded, but it would be interesting to get a comparison as to strength of teams when the games occurred. Would give a little more accurate comparison as to matchups.
