Sooner fan really looking forward to the game

I was listening to Jake Trotter an Oklahoma (state of) guy and started here in the media and now a senior writer for college football and ESPN. He was being interviewed on the local sports talk station. He has Tenn #5. You guys I think are second to UGA. Too bad our injuries won’t likely make it competitive. The offense was not remotely expected to be this bad. But it very much is. 5 new OL starters and 2 out not a good recipe. But #2-7 top receivers out or hurt.

Texas is probably a more complete team than Tennessee as well. I would go Alabama, Texas, and then Tennessee. Still not sure what Ole Miss has and I am not 100% buying that Alabama is going to be bad.

Had a hella time in Knoxville a couple of years ago. Got to see the stadium - awesome. As our initial SEC contest nears, just want to put the two teams in perspective.

UT OU
NC's (Claimed) 6 7
Conf. Championships 16 50
Head-to-head (W/L) 1 3
Heisman trophy 0 7
N/C games since 2000 2 4
Consensus AA Players 41 82

See ya' in Norman, guys.
I'd say this enthusiasm about the match up has dwindled yea?

I love you Vol guys always having to pump the chest of your rivals when your own program has nothing to talk about.
when we talk to Oklahoma fans and tell you what we have done, you can always one up it because you have played nobody and have no competition. look, Yall are gonna have a RUDE awakening.

I wondered why everybody brings up that LSU team? Now I know. You guys were Kansas level at 3-7. Hell I’d have followed up somebody else too.
You’re the one that’s come in here acting like you guys run college football. I’m not going to deny the stats, but you’re in a different situation now. No one believes that your program would be able to have the trophy case that you do if you played in the SEC the entire time . Recent history shows us that just about every time you play a meaningful game against an SEC team or USC you get waxed. So yeah, we haven’t been that good off and on for over a decade now, but don’t pretend that you’re any different just because you took your beatings from LSU, UGA, Bama, Florida in the Postseason as opposed to the regular season . You’re not going to Waco or Lawrence or Lubbock anymore.

Norman will be loud and rocking. I think we win, but you guys keep it close. If we win by 3+ scores I'll gladly eat some crow. I'm just a worrier I guess...that's why my friends call me whiskers.

Vegas has it at like a 32/29 game Tennessee. I just do not see Oklahoma scoring 29 on our defense. I am thinking like a 35/17 Tennessee.

Did y'all even use QBs in the 90s? Seriously, I can't think of one between Jamelle Holloway and Heupel.
Did you all even use QB’s in this century? Seriously. I can’t think of one since Tee. I for sure can’t keep up with all the coaches.

Looking forward to tomorrow's games. Tennessee should easily take care of Kent State. Tulane is quite a bit better than Kent State, but Oklahoma should also come away with a win. No doubt that next week's game will garner a lot of attention.
