We finally have a game to talk about!

A couple things I’m looking forward to seeing:

Nico vs Oklahoma secondary. With his ability/willingness to fit the ball into tight windows, Oklahoma secondary is going to have chances at turnovers. Will be key for Tennessee to establish the run game early and take pressure off Nico.

Tennessee Dline vs Oklahoma OLine. If Tennessee is able to control the line of scrimmage like we expect them to, it could be a tough day for Jackson Arnold. We still don’t know for sure what the back half of Tennessee’s defense can do.

Checking in. Won’t be close Saturday. Probably worst OU defeat since Baylor about 8 years ago at home. You guys scored 65 points first half. We couldn’t score 65 points in an entire game vs Farragut High School . We are minus #2-7 receivers. #2 May be back. Our OL healthy is the worst since 2005. They aren’t healthy. One very depressing thing is that Tulane looked fresher the second half. We have according to 95% of Sooner faithful the best S&C coach in the country. He’s great at conditioning but some years they lose their legs too early. He works them to death. But there’s this.

I mean I don’t think anyone doubts your coaches ability to develop a defense.

Hell I’m never counting out a team like OU. Definitely doesn’t look good for them. We should kill them but one injury or a huge mistake and this game can be very close. Our Dline should be a problem for them though.

Oklahoma has played absolutely nobody in the Big 8 for decades. All they really had to ever do is get fired up for 1 big game a year, and a very rare and occasional game against Colorado or Missouri. It was a pathetic conference they and Nebraska just cruised through year after year, decade after decade. They have no clue and no understanding what they about to get into now that they are in the SEC. They will go from winning 1 big game conference championships (annual game vs Nebraska) over and over and over again to likely none for a long period of time. They were a complete renegade program under Switzer, were on probation their 2 undefeated "national title" years of '74 and '75 and couldn't appear on TV at all. I certainly have a lot of respect for Bud Wilkinson and also his and Neyland's friendship but even in the '50s and '60s it was the same deal. Play absolutely nobody, win meaningless Big 8 titles and rack up long winning streaks.
