God Wheaton you give me a reason to hate Oregon. You are THE most delusional fan in the history of this site. Worse than any bammer, gator, hell anyone from the SEC. You aren't arguing you're just spouting out some bs answer and taking it as an absolute fact. Get off this site BB didn't sign with ya'll go protest at a KFC bc they kill chickens to cook their food.
and with a name like masoli...fuhgetaboutit
We have proved our point tonight. There are 2 people that care about the Ducks and a hell of a lot more that love their Vols.
I love how he can't reply to my post with all of the rushing statistics and how UT doubles Oregon's in the NFL with Lewis and Henry to their 3 guys.
Me?
I'll let you guys hash that one out. I've already gone over that subject in detail over the Brown issue.
I'll just say that Tennessee does outmatch Oregon in historical accolades. But, at this point in time, Oregon looks to be the better team, with better prospects for the immediate future. To me, that trumps your accolades. I would rather be looking forward to winning the next game than patting fellow fans on the back about "that one time back in '66!" "Remember that guy! He WAS awesome!" "Oh yeah! We WAS the best that ever WAS!"
To me, past accolades == as desperate as it gets. Right now matters more. Winners focus on winning now. Not dwelling on the accomplishments of the past.
Yet you keep trying to throw Jonathan Stewart in here. Wouldn't he count as past accolades? Also, you don't have better prospects. I guarantee you we have out recruited you the past 4-5 years.
Recruiting
2009: UT 10th Oregon 32nd
2008: UT 35th Oregon 20th
2007: UT 3rd Oregon 11th
2006: UT 23rd Oregon 49th
2005: UT 4th Oregon 28th
We win this too. You guys can't beat us at anything other than number of uniform combinations.
Throw Jonathan Stewart in where? What are you talking about?
By prospects, I meant winning football games. Oregon is expected to do better than Tennessee next year.
And yet, Oregon went 10-3 last year while Tennessee went 5-7. Goes to show that recruiting stars don't always explain what you've got. Right now, what Oregon has is expected to perform better than UT. No need to get upset about it. Just hope that you guys will exceed expectations.

Perhaps you've come down with a case of ironyorhea, making that statement in a thread on a UT board, titled "Sour Grapes from Oregon."
For the team that just landed Brown, a lot of you sure seem bitter.

dude, your 09 team will field 3 recruiting classes ranked outside of the top 25(one of them #56, one in the 30's), and 1 #9 ranked class. this is the worst our recruiting has been in 20 years, and we will have classes ranked#4, #8, #24 and #36(probably the worst class of our lifetime. and beleive it or not, 08's seniors was the #1 class in the nation. 08 returned every starter(minus ainge & mayo) from a seccg team, that took eventual champs lsu to the wire in 07. 08's woes were strictly due to the coaching change on offense failing, as our d was #1 in the sec, and top 5 nationally. oregon never has, and never will have the talent ut has. the last 30 yrs(my lifetime) ut is 5th in wins. ou is 19th. there are 5 sec teams ahead of ou, almost half our conf. since 2000(our worst decade since the 70's and your best), you have 2 more wins than us, and in the same time frame, we both have 4 10+win season, funny thing is, those 4 are the ducks only 10+win seasons EVER! weve had 21. youve had 47 losing seasons, ut has had 22. 9 sec teams have more all time wins than ou, and vandy is only 4 wins behind you.you have 22 players in the nfl, we have 38(currently 5th or 6th in the sec, and the same as the puss10 best, usc), and its our lowest in a long time. ou runs the spread, not many spread teams are successful in producing top nfl talent. we have for sometime, and still do run a pro style offense. ut plays in the toughest conf. in the nation, vs ou in the second worst conf. in the nation(face it, if usc wasnt in the puss10, the big east would be a tougher conference),ut's conference, stadium, facilities, fanbase, uniforms, tradition, coaches(individualy)and most likely as a whole are better, our rb's coach has more rb's in the nfl than ou. they are definately better recruiters. dude there is NOTHING, to compare ou to ut. its simply laughable you are even over trying to dispute that. seriously, whats that tell you, when we have a 5-7 season and and our 3rd coaching change since 77, and still bring in a rec. class ranked #8 in the nation, and ou has its second or 3rd best record ever, and you can only muster #26 class? since 02, you have had 2 rec. classes ranked in the top 25, a 9 & 15. we have had 1 ranked outside the top 25, 3 top 5, 3 top 10 and 1 top 25. please, continue to think you have more talent than ut, it will only be that much more crushing to you when oregon loses in knoxville in 2010. ask your boys the golden bears, about 35-0 late in the 3rd before we put in the reserves. sorry for the long rant guys, i thought the bammers were delusional, these guys take the cake.
