Sour Grapes from Oregon

Pac-10 is 9-6 vs SEC in last 10 years.

If there is a tie-breaker, they will give a BCS title spot to SEC.

There were 3 1 loss/1 loss teams that deserved playing in the NC.

Why did Florida play? Cuz they beat a ****** team in Alabama? And lost to Ole Miss, AT HOME???

Come on guys, you think that you are God.
You went 5-7 last year and you think that you own Oregon in everything.

This some facts from last year
1-Recorded louder stadium
2- Oregon went 10-3 last year while Tennessee went 5-7. Oregon finished 11th in the rankings Tennessee was somewhere in the back.
3- Pac-10 went 5-0 in bowl games whlie SEX went 5-2. Not bad, but Pac-10 was still better.

how many people actually bother to record the stadium decibel level? any other than oregon? and where was the sensor put? outside the stadium? in the student section? etc. you don't realize your #1 is completely meaningless.

I don't even want to bother with that.

Every stadium DOES keep track of decibels on the field.

Glad you understand now.

But I do love how you only respond to the part about the stadium.

Why would they bother? who else besides oregon fans need to prove their fandome? Link?

i've only seen this on some stupid abc "meter" at autzen which just like MLB tv pitch speed meters you know are massively inflated.

Games on the major television stations are recorded. ABC/CBS/ESPN/FSN

Oh, and BTW the earthquake game(LSU) - seismic activity has nothing to do with sound waves.

another gem

"Today (as in not over a 50-year period), Oregon is an outstanding nationally known program that regularly contends for a BCS bowl berth.
Anyway... I'm sure you're going to love Bryce Brown. Would have been great if he'd come to Oregon, I strongly feel we would have gone to a national championship with him. Now, we'll just have to win a NC with someone else. :D "

I guess by that measure we could also say that during the past decade UT has also "regularly contended for a BCS bowl berth" simply by playing in a BCS conference. Have they forgotten since their "legendary" 2001 season, they have 3 top 25 finishes, and that's not even mentioning their crowning achievement, not 1 but 2 appearances in the world renowned Holiday Bowl.

Link? you are really trying to argue that abc/cbs pays for a seperate sound meter at every game, yet they only show it at oregon games?

Not worth showing at any other stadium.

Autzen is the only stadium to get regularly that high on the decibel mater. So why bring it out on Tennessee when they only get to like 100 decibels?:dance2:

Because literally you are the only people that give a crap. Nobody cares!

Arguing about decibel levels at a stadium is just asinine. I've never been to Autzen, so I can't say for sure, but I do remember Nate Longshore saying the crowd noise at Neyland was like nothing he had ever experienced before after UT had just blown Cal's doors off in 2006. He was on the Cal roster in 2005 when they played at Autzen, so I'll take the word of a real human being over some silly decibel meter any day of the week.

I was at the Cal/Oregon game in 07 (which actually i think is one of those stupid times they showed the decibel meter) and at the Cal/Tenn game in 06. No comparison. Neyland was FAR LOUDER.

I had to see for myself how bad their site is and you guys weren't exaggerating. I wasn't sure if I was looking at Oregon football or Oregon Trail.

What team that the PAC-10 played in a bowl game was actually a good team? BYU, OK. St., Pitt, Miami or Penn St.

Utah humbled Ala but Vandy beat BC.

I've really missed all this. It's been almost 2 years since the last Cal game where we constantly got to argue the merits of the SEC vs. the Pac 10. Good to have it back for a while.

Lloyd Carr also said after a loss @ Oregon that Autzen was the loudest stadium he has ever been to.

Longshore = 4 years
Carr = 15 years

Yeah and I was at a Tennessee game and Oregon was 3 times louder then Neyland stadium. See how stupid that sounds?
