Sour Grapes from Oregon

Why are we arguing with Oregon fans when they weren't in Bryce's top 2? He clearly said the other team was K-St. and for all I know Miami was third. It's not like you guys just missed out on him.

Lloyd Carr also said after a loss @ Oregon that Autzen was the loudest stadium he has ever been to.

Longshore = 4 years
Carr = 15 years

First off, Carr only coached 13 years at UM. Secondly, during his 13 years at Mich. he coached exactly 0 games in an SEC stadium. The SEC is known for having the loudest stadiums in the country, and while Autzen may have been the loudest he ever went to, he never set foot in an SEC stadium, so it would be hard for him to have a good reference point in that regard.

I was at the Cal/Oregon game in 07 (which actually i think is one of those stupid times they showed the decibel meter) and at the Cal/Tenn game in 06. No comparison. Neyland was FAR LOUDER.

to be fair there was a whole lot of frustration vented at that game in 06. It was fun and loud though

Isn't Autzen built into the side of a hill, which would allow sound to stay within the confines of the stadium instead of dispersing outward?

He flew in with his decibel meter to settle this once and for all.

That's as asinine as people believing LP Field and the Titans are the loudest stadium in the NFL if he believes Oregon is the loudest in college football.

Yeah, but there was a time when that was par for the course on Saturdays at Neyland, I know it fell off over the past few years, but I expect things to be a little different this fall. May God have mercy on Western Kentucky's soul when they come to town for the first game.

I've only seen 1-2 games that match the sound & energy in the stadium that day. It was not just a regular day in Neyland

2005 vs Vandy

Are you just trying to rub that loss in our face, or are you saying that's the game you attended? If that's the game you went to and are basing your opinions of a stadiums' crowd off of a game at the tail end of a horrible 5-6 season, against a team we typically beat each year, then you are beyond ignorant. Obviously the crowd sucked that day. I'm sure Autzen has been louder than that on many occasions.

I'd argue that most games that take place against Big 12 opponents in Kyle Feild would make anything in OREGON sound like a library.

That being said, out of confrence - LSU vs. aTm (1989) was the loudest game I've ever experienced. #7 tigers drop to unranked Aggies 28-16.

But I digress, Oregon fans need to move on. You didnt get your guy. Your stadium isnt the loudest. Your fans are drunkards from what I can tell, and above all you're gonna lose to SC untill Pete decides to hang it up. Best of luck to the Pac 10 runner ups. Now go out there and take out your aggression on the powerhouse program that is Stanford Football.

Stop Pre and Stop whining.

Fair enough. The only recent one that comes close in my mind is 2 weeks later against UF. 2004 Florida is the loudest I can ever remember Neyland being, but that was only at the end. I've never heard a crowd sustain their energy for an entire game like we did against Cal in '06.

That is the game I attended.

But your right, not many fans were into it because of who they were playing/how that were playing themselves.

I'll make sure next time I go down there, for it to be a better game.

Like Oregon @ Tennessee

Oklahoma was good, rest were mediocre.

I said garbage? LOL, u need to check your eyesight

Eyes are good. You said none of the teams the SEC beat or lost to were any better than what the PAC-10 faced.

That either makes you stupid or you need to get your eyes checked Donald.

Bring ear plugs...You'll need em :eek:k:

I like the looks of Autzen Stadium. I'm not pretending to bash a stadium that I have never been to but ther is no way 54,000 people can be louder than 100,000+ people.
