Sour Grapes from Oregon

And thus, we fired our coach.

I wonder if Belotti has told Chip Kelly to use a better recruiting pitch than "We are Oregon, Nike Nike Nike Nike, you will play for us."
Better then threatening a player that he will pump gas at school which has won 2 NC titles in last 3 years.

Oh and thanks for editing my post, I guess it was too much to handle?

The only thing that I can remember Tennesse about over the last 10 years is losing in the fiesta bowl.

Wow. The greatest season in your school's history happened in 2001. Too bad it wasn't as successful as our 1998 season. Maybe Joey Harrington, Jeff Tedford, and a criminal Tennessee expelled will come to help Oregon next season. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

South Carolina has won 2 NC's in the past 3 years? Wow.

No, see. You may notice our past 10 years have led to the firing of our coach. You call yours the best in your history... yet the two teams have eerily similar records over the past 10 years (with TN holding the edge).
1 BCS win to Tennessee's ZERO

What service awarded South Carolina those national titles, oh genius of football?

3. Tedford is 4-2 against Oregon and has a higher winning % in his time at cal than oregon has in the same time period despite the fact he inherited a 1-10 team and your new OC inherited a top-5 team. before tedford you went to one rose bowl in a time when the pac-10 was complete garbage. after him you have a couple of holiday bowl visits.

4. you had the second worst record in pac-10 history before phil gave his money. brooks didn't win crap until phil gave his money. oh and you drew 10K a game before you started winning. don't you know your own history? probably not. i'm sure you became a fan in 1999. even a garbage program like cal still has a 57% all time winning % against the ducks.

5. garbage. garbage. garbage. garbage. the players you just listed aren't fit for a .500 team. name one that has accomplished anything

6. Yeah cal's stadium was so quiet that dixon near crapped his pants during the arse kicking in 06 when you were ranked in the top-10.

3. I don't take anything away from Tedford. He is a good coach. But, I think it's a little premature to start parading around 4-2 against the Ducks. After Tedford, our new OC also helped coach heisman candidate Dennis Dixon. Most impartial observers believed that he had a great shot at the trophy and the Ducks at the NC game. Then he was injured.

4. Yes. Phil Knight, a graduate of University of Oregon and founder of the most successful athletic company in human history has helped the Ducks program. Is that supposed to be an insult? How good would Cal (or any team) be if alumni from the school didn't "give them their money?" Are you really making that argument? And sorry to let you down about your theory. I've been a Duck fan for over 20 years.

5. Ok. Let's start with one: LaGarette Blount - Accomplished 1000 yards rushing and 17 TD's while splitting carries with Jeremiah Johnson who gained another 1000 yards. Blount was featured on ESPN SportsCenter numerous times over the course of the season for hurdling defenders. But, from the sounds of it, you don't watch or read much about college football.

Scoring 17 TD's in a season == major player on any team in the nation. Please, make sure you know what you're talking about before you start blurting random claims out.

6. One thing is certain, it was not the noise at Cal that caused Dixon to lose. But, thank you for pointing out how good our OC and new HC Chip Kelly is for figuring out how to get the best out of Dixon after an underachieving start to his career.

No problem, guy.

Thanks for echoing the media there, too. Whatever Kiffin's standard recruiting pitch was happened to be good enough to land us a top 10 class.

1 BCS win to Tennessee's ZERO

We won the BCS national championship in 1998 against Fla. St. in the Fiesta bowl...look it up.

Pretty sure that counts as a BCS win as it was the first one and all

We won the BCS back before it was cool :eek:k:

Wow...you're confusing South Carolina for Florida....that's really sad if you're a college football fan

Last 10 years guys Oregon 1 BCS win. Tennesse ZERO

Last 10 year Pac-10 9-6 against SEC.

I think a game won the year right before the "last ten years" stat still holds sway....but you do love that TN has never won a BCS game stat you're throwing around don't you?

Imagine that. An Oregon fan that knows little to nothing about CFB.
I really don't care that much about Tennessee. It's not my fault if your coach has no idea what he is talking about when threatening Urban Meyer

In fact, before this BB incident I thought of Tennessee as a mediocre team within the decade.

And guess what, I was right!!

If Tennessee is mediocre, yet has a better record in a harder conference than the Duckies... what does that say about Oregon?

Well I'm sure USC is proud. I'm sure that 2-win Mississippi State team that lost to you guys by one score was really represented of the overall strength of our conference.

Pot, meet kettle.

At least the Vols will pull themselves out of it.

UofO will never, ever be able to pull enough recruits out of southern California to take over USC's spot in the Pac-10.

Are you seriously trying to tell me you think the ACC was the best BCS conference last season? If so, I'll go ahead and ignore you now.

Against BCS opponents, yes. That's exactly what the stats show.

I don't think they had the top teams. But, when averaged as a conference, they were a tougher conference than you are giving them credit for. Probably because they scheduled more OOC BCS opponents compared to the flurry of I-AA teams the SEC is known to count as wins.

Hmm harder conference?

Well it seems like Oregon is leading in head-tohead matchups with the SEC by 3 games in last 10 years.

HMMM
