Southern Miss to receive notice of allegations next week

SD is re-defining the term "reaching"..

Pretty soon he's going to be breaking it down so far that the best he can come up with is specific dates that Tyndall didn't do something bad.

"The week of June 10 in 2013, Tyndall has no allegations of wrong doing, so that gives him a ton of credibility!"

Might have been thinking about what it would do to the school he worked for given the harsh penalty given to the tennis program in 2013 by the NCAA. Probably didn't trust the NCAA to be fair. Bear in mind if Wade O'Conner, the associate head coach he fired, had not been the source of the original story last November it would have never come out here two years later. Since DT. hired Chris Shumate to replace him, if I'm not mistaken, the program was clean the last year they were there given that Shumate went to Western Kentucky with Willie Carmichael.

Think about what you're saying. You are portraying Tyndall as potentially the most honorable and loyal man in college basketball history in that theory. Do you really believe that is even remotely likely?

It's gotten almost cult-like how much in denial he is that Tyndall just might not be on the level. I'm not sure how many more schools he'd have to get in trouble before it sinks in.

IMO he would have done exactly the same thing in basketball that Butch Jones is doing in football. It hurts me to think that that will not happen now for the Volunteers and is a big disappointment. I really hope Rick Barnes can be successful here for the sake of our basketball players and I hope he can do the same thing in basketball that Butch is doing in football. Time will tell and time will answer the DT ? I actually believe what the man says and will until the final verdict comes down from the NCAA. There are way too many unanswered questions to condemn him without hearing the rest of the story as Paul Harvey used to say. It is totally possible that his involvement was minimal and he actually tried to stop the bleeding at Southern Miss. They were doing this stuff before he ever hit the campus.

I have never seen a case of denial that strong. Do you and DT meet in dark alleys on rainy nights?

What are the unanswered questions?
7 level 1 violations is pretty condemning.
Why was he calling players?
Why was he deleting emails?
Who was receiving and funneling the money sent by outside sources? There's one.

So then why hasn't the former USM coach, Larry Eustachy, been mentioned at all in the investigation?

Eustachy left for CSU on April 12, Tyndall was hired April 28....so your theory is that in 2 shorts weeks, someone inside the basketball program started paying players, having class work done by someone besides the players, and set up burner phones...all for Tyndall to walk in to and have to deal with?

That literally makes no sense what so ever

I find it hard to believe you give anyone else even remotely close to the level of benefit of doubt you give Tyndall.

I have fully presented my reason for believing there is more to this than meets the eye, especially the NCAA's eye. My comments are over on this issue, and I leave you with the words of the man himself, "However, I did not knowingly violate NCAA rules, nor did I encourage or condone rules violations by anyone on the coaching staff. A fair review of the evidence will show that the allegations that I did so are simply wrong." He has one of the top Sports Law Firms in the country representing him. He will have the chance to present his side of the story. Time will tell just who was right in all of this. In the meantime, "It's Football Time in Tennessee!"

Please do not dare to link CBJ and CDT as being in the same category. There is no comparison.

What the heck is backflip?
In another thread I made the statement some of you do back flips just to criticize my posts. I just started a conversation about the possibility of a football player, any football player who was also an outstanding basketball player helping the basketball team and the back flips began. Sort of funny when I think about it.
