think of how much cooler its going to be when SpaceX makes it to the moon, and half the world is able to stream it from multiple views, and not just whatever makes it on TV. probably several cameras on the lander, if there is a buggy there will be at least one there, probably some POV shots from whoever moonwalks.
 
So apparently this is a thing and it's close to home.

I will be checking that out soon. Just up the street from my Kayak put in spot 😀

One of two things will have to happen to cut SLS out of the critical path for Artemis.
1) modify Vulcan or Falcon Heavy to carry Orion
Or
2) rapidly develop a much stronger heat shield for Dragon or Starship.

Number 1 seems misch more doable, especially time wise.

But regardless; for Startship to be ready for Mars; Elon is most certainly working on an upgraded thermal protection system already

A couple of lunar landers, from ispace and Firefly, are tentatively scheduled to launch mid-January on the same Falcon 9.

You may remember ispace's first mission that was almost successful, fell on its side I believe.
