Way outside my $$$ range!

My son got all of those for $50
You can get nice cards without spending a fortune. I’d love to get him an Ohtani or Acuna autograph but I will never spend that kind of money on a card. He does odd jobs around the house and helps our neighbors do the same to earn money, he’s 10 and has a nice little collection so far. I buy him some from time to time but we stick to a budget when we go to card shops or shows. He collects what he likes and doesn’t get too concerned about the value.

In his spare time he flies helicopter tours of Hawaii when not helping his SEAL buddy Thomas Magnum on PI cases.

Not sure about TC, but that is a sweet Tony Gwynn card!

That’s a sweet card Trippie! I’m not into the whole grading game, but a nice vintage card...I probably would. I like the look of SGC for vintage, but if you plan on trying to sell, you probably go with PSA.

I have 2500+ cards to look through

I couldn’t care less about the condition. With old cards like that, I like to see a little wear n tear on them, rounded corners etc. IMO it tells a story and shows that they’ve been held and admired during the more “innocent” times of card collecting and not immediately thrown into a graded slab and listed on eBay! Those are awesome and I’m slowly but surely convincing my 10 year old into appreciating and collecting the throwbacks!!

LMAO I grew up in the steroid era and all of my “heroes” were juiced and will forever have an asterisk by their names!
Well, all but Dale Murphy, unfortunately I don’t think he’ll make in into the Hall.

Me and my son are about to start a neat project. We are going to find a bad@$$ card of every 500 hone run member, from the year they hit 500!
I thought it would be cool because we’ll probably never own a high dollar Aaron, Mantle, Mays etc.
We’ll probably have to get some sort of reprint card for the Babe and Mel Ott.

Don't send vintage to PSA, everything I've learned since getting back in the hobby is that SGC is the way to go for vintage.

Agreed, but I don’t like the whole grading thing. It would be a tough decision if I had nice vintage cards like Trippie has.
