If you go to the big show at Nashville fairgrounds next weekend (which I recommend), they have trade night on site Friday and Sat. There are a couple of local shops, Brentwood and Mt Juliet, that have a trade night every now and again.Have you guys ever thought about trading? Me and my son have been looking into it but I just don’t feel comfortable doing it through Facebook or Reddit.
Take your collection to the Nashville fairgrounds show next weekend. There are people there who will give you decent value so long as you leave them room to make a profit. If you want to maximize your return without directly selling, use a third party seller. I like COMC. They will do the work for a small cut and you set your own prices.Selling whole collection $3k.
Tired of looking through all these cards.
I wish we could, just can’t justify driving from Knoxville to Nashville for baseball cards. If you go to the big show at Nashville fairgrounds next weekend (which I recommend), they have trade night on site Friday and Sat. My son and I have only been collecting for about a year now. He has a decent collection, considering. If you go to the big show at Nashville fairgrounds next weekend (which I recommend), they have trade night on site Friday and Sat. There’s still some holes in my 1955 Topps All Americans set (I posted some pics in this thread) and I always lookout for the really big names from the 2005 All Americans autograph cards. I recenlty had a really big hit in a online soccer break that I’m going to look to trade, assuming it gets to me next week. As for my actual list…Just out of curiosity, what’s on the list this year?
We attended the Knoxville sports fest a few weeks back and I passed on a Griffey UD rookie and a Shohei Topps chrome rookie for $100 for the pair and a ‘62 Topps Doug Atkins auto(not certified) for $15! I’m kicking myself for not getting all 3.There’s still some holes in my 1955 Topps All Americans set (I posted some pics in this thread) and I always lookout for the really big names from the 2005 All Americans autograph cards. All old football for now
Trippie, I’m still kicking myself for passing upnthe Griffey jr a few weeks back and am also on the hunt for a Gwynn and Ozzie.
The name of the game with modern baseball, is sell while they’re hot, unless you’re just a collector, which me and my son are.Kind of sucks that there’s not much expensive things out there unless you have a Mantle or some jersey patch card
I collected Pokémon a few years ago and made thousands from it. Sports is by far a lot tougher.

Example:
My son pulled a super short print Vaughn Grissom rookie(extremely tough pull) and there where 2 on eBay for $600+
Now, 4 months later it’s a $200-250 card.
Which is still exciting for us because it came out of a $4 pack and we tend to be sentimental towards our pulls and can’t bring ourselves to let them go.
