Yeah sadly most of the cards I have would come back in the 2-4 range.
One of the Mantles, and and Aaron’s would probably come back around 7 range.
Me too man. And mine are not Mantle and Aaron for the most part. Sounds like you have some really nice cards.Yeah sadly most of the cards I have would come back in the 2-4 range.

Me too. I am not collecting for investment but I do try to have stuff that could be liquidated if the need arose. To that end, I will sometimes trade with an eye towards getting something that I think will be easier to unload than what I am holding. For instance, I have a box of late 60s/70s hockey that I bought at an estate sale. The contents are probably worth $700-$1k. Hockey, especially older ungraded hockey, is not very in-demand in Nashville. If I could find someone that would trade me a solid $400-$500 vintage baseball or football card for the box, I'd take it because (1) less storage space on my end and (2) it multiplies the universe of people I might can trade with to get something I really want.I'd be freaking out if I had a Mantle or Hank in a 1 or 1.5 and wouldn't turn down an "Authentic" if it was given to me.
Have you guys ever checked out the baseball card community on Reddit? There’s also football, basketball etc...Me too. The YouTube videos just make me angry! If anyone makes their way to Huntsville, AL, I recently had a very good experience at Champs Sports Cards. It has been around for decades but this was my first visit. Very fair prices on freshly pulled singles, with many for half of what you'd pay online. Very good stuff in one-dollar bargain boxes, including lots of #d parallels. Also, got some hobby boxes of a newly released soccer product for about 20% less than the big online wholesalers. I will be going back.
That Corbin Carroll is nice!Glad I found this thread. I just started collecting sports cards again a few weeks ago after a long hiatus. My 8 yr old son and I have been collecting Pokémon cards for a few years now. Excited to get back into sports cards but I have noticed that the scene has changed a lot. Anyways if any of you veterans have any pointer, feel free to give them. Here some pulls I got from some 23' Topps Baseball Series 2. Not the greatest hits but still pretty good.

I think you get a better price for bulk but you can submit one card if that's all you want graded. It might cost $20 instead of $16.Got a question about grading.....do you have to send a bulk amount or can you just send like a couple?

With PSA, you either have to pay for a membership or go through someone who is authorized to accept and submit submissions. I do PSA submissions through Nashcards in Mt. Juliet and I think I get the bulk rate even if I am not submitting a bulk quantity.
Some of my stuff, I use SGC because it's cheaper and faster. You don't have to pay SGC for an account and you can mail stuff directly to them.
If you plan to sell, go PSA. It will be well worth your while to get someone to do the submission for you, assuming the cards grade high.I've got a couple of pokemon cards that I'm gonna send in. I just saw where CGC did a total rebrand and lowered their price to like $12 a card and all you have to do is create one of their free accounts. I think if you pay for a membership it's only like 10 bucks a card now.
We have never sent a card for grading but my son has bought a few. PSA is definitely the one to add selling value, but I like the look of SGC. I really like how TAG looks and have been thinking about sending a few when they open submissions again.I think you get a better price for bulk but you can submit one card if that's all you want graded. Was this before or after the wife kicked you out for your “hobby” obsession?!I had a few cards but I sold almost all of them. View attachment 563281
