First, Spurrier won the SEC in 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, and 00. The probabation year in 1990 didn't count as a title, which still leaves six.
Spurrier had trouble with FSU because FSU was awesome. But he still held his own and won his fair share. Remember, he beat the crap out of them to win the NC in 96 -- hung 52 pts on them.
Also, I don't necessarily use NCs to define anyone. This whole poll voting thing makes them fictional. BAMA counts every NC from anyone that felt compelled to publish a poll -- which is how they claim 12 NCs.
CPF has won 2 SECs in 14 seasons. With the players he's had, that's paltry.
