There are two ways to look at this. The first is obvious…money. Unfortunately, it will be the first and most glaring factor in recruiting and retention.
The second is preparation for the next level…which includes showcasing your abilities and talents to scouts and tv personalities…as well as coaching and prep work to be ready for the next level. In this case impressing NFL scouts.
As such, our receivers will want a decent paycheck, but they will also want to pad their stats. Most receivers will want a proficient, pass heavy offense to assist their future endeavors. Hopefully, our hybrid “Veer and shoot” offense starts becoming a better passing threat, bc if so, we will have no trouble attracting future talent…otherwise we better have a big checkbook.
