Squirrel is leaving???

What if Boo practiced with the receivers and was not beating them out in practice. Would they have to start him anyway even though he didn't earn it. So, he wouldn't portal and they lose a good DB who wasn't panning out as a Receiver, but they were held hostage by his handlers. I'm just about to talk myself to caring about college football like I've digressed on the NFL over the years. I haven't watched an NFL start to finish in years not even Super Bowl.

You are among the minority. Both are growing at a high rate

Squirrel is one I had a lot of hope for a couple years ago. He seemed to have the speed to maybe slot in the Hyatt role but for whatever reason (maybe too small) he never became close to that.

What are you talking about? I can think of one player, Jalin Smith, who has entered the portal that was a surprise. Squirrel White definitely isn't. None of the WR's should be a surprise. This unit was awful.
I’m talking about the AMOUNT of players. I’m not saying Heupel is leaving, but this is a ton of turnover.

Specifically speaking .... who has entered the portal that you think Tennessee will miss in 2025? I can think of only one so far .... LB Jalin Smith. Losing these WR's and a backup QB does not bother me at all. They weren't very good.
Who are we getting to replace? That's what matters. Just got outbid by LSU for a major interior gain.

The inability of our WRs to get open was glaring against OSU. That’s been the difference this season, IMO. We all expected Squirrel to have a big year, and he had a less than average year. Also, again, my opinion, but our offense was waay too predictable, and vanilla.

All these transfers means this program was not on as sure a footing as we thought. Huepel could be in trouble if next year is a down year.

Things are looking very shaky right now.

Specifically, which transfers have you concerned?
I think it’s more about what do we have coming in more so than what we are losing at this point. Naturally, we are going to see transfers in this new age.

I didn’t want to lose Jalen Smith and really, most of the receivers. So far, Im seeing one OL coming from Arizona and that’s it. Unless Heupel has some mastermind plan in motion, these transfers will hurt at some point. Meanwhile, other programs are busily stocking their cupboards.

I was expecting a lot from him too. If he is wanting more money from us, based on how he played in 2024, I would tell him to get it somewhere else.
