This might be a WAG but with 5 WR’s bailing, it may mean their position coach is on the way out. That’s in addition to knowing there’s new receivers being recruited and offered now. Guess we’ll find out soon on both fronts.

Watching Washington State vs Standford bowl game Washinton State has 32 players in the portal.
There will be plenty of players to pick from nationwide there will be thousands looking for some green NIL.

Just to know...... did any of our 25 WR guys as EEs get here early enough to show their stuff on the practice field.... Like all 3 of them and maybe Morris as a slot guy too.... Just checking all the boxes.

NIL and portal added new dimensions to college sport. ADs are going to need to get very active due to contracts and dollars.

I’ll bet many coaches will his the exit door. I’m not sure if I’ll survive as a fan.

Forgot about this one. As someone pointed out above, Jeremiah Smith is another high powered freshman but again, big bucks. Again, easier said than done. Unicorns don’t come cheap.

I don't know about anyone else but for me this crap sucks.
Seems like entire teams transferring to another school is just around the corner.
Just change uniforms and let's go.

So far none of the transfers have bothered me. Our WRs have not been good. Squirrel’s legs stop working when he catches a ball. It’s a subconscious tick that will likely never go away

True. But some of these guys need to be careful. I saw a stat the other day that 30% of the players that entered the portal last year didn’t find a home. They may have ended up sacking at the Piggly Wiggly.

Like I stated earlier, just like backyard football. Just pick teams every Saturday and have at it

You can preach 'addition by subtraction' all day long. But-------I see no sense of urgency on the part of this staff. Heupel acts like he has 5 stars stacked at every position. We don't. We need a staff of fire breathers that eat, drink, and poop recruiting and the portal.

Instead we have calm, serene, and low key. Chill. Polite. Collected.

Heupel has made nearly $50 Million since he got here. I always wonder what that does to a guy. For some, it just fires them up. Saban. There isn't enough cash out there for him to relax.

Heupel? I don't know. Maybe the guy looks at his balance sheet, knows he is set for life, and figures 'f--- it, I'm just riding this out and not stressing'

Time will tell.

Down to Brazzell, Matthews and Staley. Got Travis Smith and Radarius Jackson (both 4*) coming in, but don’t know if they will even contribute in year one. Maybe Heupel is trophy hunting in the portal between now and spring? But if not, then you’re going to have to play the true freshmen.

Will they be a quarterback competition or is it just Nico the starter and the others fight for backup. My thought are the best one to win with. That’s includes all positions freshmen, seniors or portal players.
