I watched bits of the Oklahoma game today and they said 25 guys hit the transfer portal. These teams are playing bowl games with an entirely different team.

Coaches need to band together and stop picking up these transfer portal guys. That will stop a lot of it.

Why would someone even attempt pickems on these sports websites for bowl season?

You’re talking about a coach that was ride or die with Joe Milton until he got hurt. Hooker was a product of bad luck. Then you refuse to let Nico take his lumps in a year nobody expected a whole lot from. Even without playing and sitting on the side and “learning” for a year and a half he hasn’t seemed to learn much. What will the excuses be next year. Receivers? O-line? Everything but the guy not producing.

If you want to be mad, be mad. I’ll trust the guy that took a Jeremy Pruitt roster minus 30 of its best players to the playoffs in 4 years.

Squirrel’s best position on our team was the bench. Going somewhere else to see the field in his final season is best for everyone

I suspect the conversation went something like “Squirrel you under performed your NIL payout in 2024, in 2025 we need to scale back on what you will be paid”

Concepcion has yet to find a home and we could certainly use both Branch brothers as Boo will likely only play 30-40 snaps a game on defense now. A name to possibly look out for is Kamron Mikell. We finished second in his recruitment and he’s a physical freak athlete that can likely play either the X or Z and is in a fairly deep WR room at Colorado

I agree with your point,but that Jeremy Pruitt roster had some ballers left when Heupel came in, and I don't think Heupel has the success he did so early without those guys.

Who's mad? I'm just observing.

I'd rather have a guy who has a mixed roster at this point, with a couple of Pruitt holdovers and mostly his own developed guys.

But look at our OL. A lot of holdovers. We have not developed a single HS player to a starting position.

That worries me.

What is CJH office like? Is the weight room and nutrition area nice? I am assuming for you to say you don't see a sense of urgency you are inside the building and talking to those guys daily.

Think of how CJH kept injuries close to the vest until he was forced to disclose them....

I will trust the guy who took a roster of misfits, minus 30 or so players to the playoffs in 4 years.

Why would any player want to leave a packed home crowd of 100k+ fans and the football energy at Tenn ? Makes no sense. Yes, I realize money is the possible attraction, but they're is no guarantee of either playing time or more money , or even getting picked up by some other school .

Here’s my take on nil. If a kid say goes to apsu and doesn’t make any money, then comes to Tennessee and gets paid. Is he not using Tennessee’s name,image,likeness to make money. My point is Nico has made more money playing for the university than the university has made for him being here

He also told OSU not to worry about preparing for anything different than what they had already seen. He didn’t lie.
