I understand that, but we'll never get where want to be without ELITE wide receivers. He was good for an occasional shake-and-bake, but his inability to stay on his feet while catching passes was a limiting factor in our offense's big play potential. I look forward to seeing what Mike Matthews and Braylon Staley can do. It sucks that losing Squirrel is the only way for us to find out, but it is what it is. He would have been nice to have coming off the bench.Wish him the best. Glad he’s gone.
During the first half of the Alabama game in ‘23, he was the best player on the field for both teams. I believe he had like 10 catches, 1 amazing catch for a TD.I think Squirrel was better than a mediocre player when he was healthy, at least he had his moments. How much stock are we putting in Boo getting serious reps on offense? I know what’s been said and I think the more times he has the ball in has hands the better, but unless he’s making a permanent change to offense I have my doubts about him being a huge contributor on the offensive side of the ball.
And it wasn’t the WR coach dropping every other pass right off their hands. Why should the players not be held accountable by a coach. They should be as happy as the coach about all the drops this season. Instead their feelings get hurt and bolt. Bye to him and hope some of these guys get some thicker skin before life runs them over.By those who hit the portal and ended up at lesser schools. That’s called being bitter. Instead of blaming themselves for not seeing the field they blame the WR coach.
