Stanley Cup (merged)

why is everyone on the wagon of a flopper and a whiner? The other greats would get up and skate it off when they got one, Sid the Homo whines and sheds tears. F Him, and F the poplarity he has, since he's a wuss.

The only thing that scares me about Fleury is his tendency to come too far out of the goal when the puck gets in the scoring zone.

That was a wild one last night, volsgal. How do you like the way the thread I started for you is going. I even sound like I know a little about hockey... :dance2:

Can't believe I missed this thread earlier. Anyway amazing game last night. Let's hope the Pens can take it to a game 7.

You know a player is great when you start getting posts like this. I'm not the biggest fan of Crosby, but you can't deny his talent, and his popularity is deserved. He has been great for a league that has been flailing for a while now. The NHL needed a face after the strike, and Crosby stepped up. As a fan of the league in general I have a great appreciation for him.

Another round of PBR for you.:eek:k:In all honesty, I dont know that much about hockey, I do watch the Pens, how can I not living in Pittsburgh and of course my dad being the Redwings fan he is.

Preds season ticket holder and huge hockey fan right here. That was a great game last night. You really have to see it live to appreciate it.

Go Preds and go Pens.

my friend got this e-mail and the last time the Pens won the cup.
1 A bush was in the white house.
2 A clinton was running for president.
3 there was a war in Iraq.
4 the Giants won the superbowl.

thats wild.
that is weird......
jake, the Pens are going to have to win it all for Fleury to have a shot at the Conn Smythe.
i'm ok with that.

you sound like my wife.

Game 6 tonight.....back in the 'burgh. Go Pens.

Malkin has a broken rib, the rumor around here goes. I think most people thought something was going on, due to his performance.

well that would explain it...he's been a non factor. and that sucks.

i wont' be surprised if the wings win tonight....but it sure would be cool to have a 7 game series, especially now that it's gotten to be a little more competitive than it started out......

No offense, but nothing would make me happier than to see the Pens go down hard tonight. To me, they'll always be the Penguins of the whiners (Lemieux, Jagr) and the goons (Ulf and Kjell Samuelsson). And they kept signing jackasses like Luc Robataille and Matthew Barnaby as though they knew it, too. Screw them.

I don't know NHL players like you do so don't have those negative attachments. I guess I root for Pittsburgh because I am a Steelers fan and I think Detroit is a cesspool.

the actual downtown area of Detroit is nice. once you get away from the DPM (their transit system that circles downtown) it could get sketchy.

they have several casinos , a music theater and Comerica/Ford Field within walking distance of the Hockeytown Cafe and Chelios' bar. no to mention Canadian strip clubs right across the border.

Hockey is about hate in a way that no other American sport approaches (with the possible exception of SEC football). I wouldn't care if Pittsburgh were a city of gorgeous women and free beer; I still wouldn't root for the Penguins.

Then we are sworn enemies sir!

I'll not root for a team that looks like the Red Army.

Detroit actually used to have a a line that consisted of all former Red Army players. it won them back-to-back Cups in the 90s.

i'll take an all Iraqi line if it means another Cup.

so about like how i feel when it comes to St. Louis or Denver.

I'm a very very casual hockey fan, I'll stick with the Pens no matter how much you guys down them.
