Star Wars: Episode VII (December 18, 2015) ***SPOILERS***

And no I can't remember the other Siths name because I am a huge fan of Star Wars and have burned them from my mind. I saw each once and honestly never want to see the piece of ****s again.

Best move Disney every made was telling Lucas thanks but no thanks when he started in with his movie ideas.

Have to admit that when RotJ came out I was 6 years old and loved the Ewoks.

As a teenager revisiting the series I hated them.

As an adult I cherish the fond memories I had of them as a 6 year old but struggle rationalizing their role in the series.

Comprehensive "Bad Things About the Star Wars movies" List:

-Jar Jar absolute worst

-Ewoks See my above post

-Hayden Christenson's acting he was atrocious but I blame Lucas for the bad acting across the board

-Replacing Old Anakin with Christensen in the final scene of RotJ I refuse to watch that version

-The musical number at Jabba's Hut I can live with or without it. Least of my concerns about the special editions

-Forcing R2 and C-3PO into Episodes I-III for me it's not so much that they were there but how it was done. Analog as 3PO's builder was just plain dumb.R2's role was OK but over the top. Giving him rocket boosters was too much

-The way Anakin "accidentally saved the day" in Episode I. agree

-Pretty much everything about Episode I (exceptions: Qui-Gon, Darth Maul, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan).agree - the pod racing scene was fun too

-The fight between Obi-Wan and Vader in A New Hope. insert 'whatchu talking 'bout Willis' meme - that's not the flashiest lightsabre dual but it's the first of the series. I appreciate that it's not over corragraphed. So many fight scenes in movies today are so plotted out they look more like dancing than an actual battle.

Other than these 9 things it makes a strong case for the greatest series of movies of all time.

As far as killing off Darth Maul, if they had explained (or given more of a back story to Dooku) it would've made more sense. But killing him off and then just placing Dooku into the role of new apprentice without explaining his turn to the darkside, the role he played in the clones, etc. was a waste.

Yeah I have a theory that nobody really hated the Ewoks until we had the internet LOL!

I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater when I was 11 years old. Back then I loved the Ewoks and thought they were funny. Today my feelings are the same. I simply view the Ewoks as the "unlikely hero." I'm fine with them. I know it's not the popular opinion but Return of the Jedi is actually my favorite of the original 3 movies. There's just so much cool **** packed in that movie...

Jabba's Palace/The Rancor scene with Luke
The speeder bike chase
Luke's cool new green saber
The amazing scenes with Luke, Vader, and the Emperor
Yoda's death scene
Leia revealed as Luke's sister

I mean, yeah Empire Strikes Back is the popular movie among die hards but for me, ROTJ was the most enjoyable.

He should have killed Qui-Gon and then during the battle with Obi-Wan somehow escaped when the others made it back to help and he was overwhelmed and out manned leaving Obi with no retribution.

Agreed. He is already pretty iconic. Had he been the villain in all 3 movies, he would've approached Darth Vader-like status.

I think a lot of people forget these movies are made for kids. Only Revenge of the Sith has had a PG-13 rating. As much as I hate Jar-Jar, the 6 year olds of 1999 loved him.

The funny thing about the pop-culture form our youth is we want it to grow up with us. The prequels aren't good movies but they stayed true to Lucas' vision of a family friendly action movie.

I look at the comic books of my youth that were written for adolescents and the ones today are written for 20 year olds.

Are we sure that's Luke's hand reaching out to R2? Luke had the "flesh" hand. Unless it wore off.

No way of knowing for sure. I assumed it was Luke but you just don't know without any context to that scene.

I will say this, the scene of the being handing the lightsaber over to someone else looks very close to Ahsoka Tano from The Clone Wars and Rebels series. It at least looks like someone of the same being...

I recall all the pissing and moaning when Disney bought the star wars rights from Lucas; heck I think I did a little myself. Looks like it's in the right hands after all.

I did the same. Looks like they've done a good job.

Never understood the whining. Disney bought Marvel shortly after IM came out. Didn't hurt the Avengers at all so thinking SW would get any silliest than the prequels was foolish.

I'm just glad that they didn't get Bay to direct, I mean can you imagine Stormtrooper's with lips

I think everyone was apprehensive because I don't think the fandom could have handled another disaster like the prequels. I admit the little we've seen looks good but I'm still a little nervous about the plot.

I have to say, Episode 3 was one of my favorites. If you didn't have the horrid acting of Christian Hayden, it really tied everything together for Episode 4.

Although Episode 1 was certainly not my favorite. But the battle in the arena in Episode 2 was worthy of recognition in the archives of the Jedi Order minus the C-3PO moments that just weren't funny. Everyone downs the first three, but they had their moments of pure awesomeness.

Abrams transformed Star Trek successfully. Star Wars should be an underhand pitch for this guy. I can see him pointing to the bleachers in the outfield like Babe Ruth

Ep 1 had all kinds of problems. Jar Jar and Gungans being #1.

Ep 2 was decent if you edited out all the parts about Anakin.

Ep 3 is the most enjoyable but still lacking most of the charm or heart of the originals.

Having said that, I will still watch any of them if it is on TV. I guess it's like a train wreck.

Lucas tried to make it into a love story and a movie for little kids at the same time which is what ruined them. Not to mention the acting was pretty terrible as well.

Really only one actor. Ewan McGregor made an awesome young Obi-Wan. Natalie Portman I could see being mother to Luke and Leia although I think she was a bit young. Christopher Lee pulled off the fallen Jedi turned Sith remarkably well by keeping a very stoic Jedi-like manner, yet hidden evil. (more so in Episode 2) Ian McDiarmid was the Emperor and I don't know anyone else who could have brought that character to life like he did in all four.

And Samuel L. Jackson is just a badazz. Anyone who has a lightsaber with BMF on it can totally pull that off.

Honestly, I didn't care for Christensen at all. The love plot, okay, I get it and how it wraps into the overall saga. But overall, I don't think he brought the necessary underlying evil to the screen. He tried too hard to pull off the arch-typical villain towards the end and failed miserably.

Christensen sucked; his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker might be the most bland central character in film history.

The prequels aren't that great to me but Revenge of the Sith is possibly my favorite of the saga. It literally ties all loose ends between the two trilogies. Ewan McGregor's acting was superb, as was McDiarmid's.

What made it different from the other Star Wars films is that it was very dark throughout. All of the other films had many light hearted moments, but not this one.
