Star Wars: Episode VII (December 18, 2015) ***SPOILERS***

Really only one actor. Ewan McGregor made an awesome young Obi-Wan. Natalie Portman I could see being mother to Luke and Leia although I think she was a bit young. Christopher Lee pulled off the fallen Jedi turned Sith remarkably well by keeping a very stoic Jedi-like manner, yet hidden evil. (more so in Episode 2) Ian McDiarmid was the Emperor and I don't know anyone else who could have brought that character to life like he did in all four.

And Samuel L. Jackson is just a badazz. Anyone who has a lightsaber with BMF on it can totally pull that off.

Honestly, I didn't care for Christensen at all. The love plot, okay, I get it and how it wraps into the overall saga. But overall, I don't think he brought the necessary underlying evil to the screen. He tried too hard to pull off the arch-typical villain towards the end and failed miserably.

McDiarmid was fantastic

Abrams transformed Star Trek successfully. Star Wars should be an underhand pitch for this guy. I can see him pointing to the bleachers in the outfield like Babe Ruth

Agreed. Naysayers can **** off! The Abrams Star Trek films are awesome!

McDiarmid was fantastic

Yes he was! So as Liam Neeson (Qui Gon Gin), Christopher Lee (Count Dooku), Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett), Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa), Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker), etc. There's plenty of examples of good performances in the prequels. I don't even mind Jake Lloyd's performances as young Anakin.

Really 99% of the bad acting/bad dialogue in the prequels is directed at Hayden Christiansen and Natalie Portman. For one thing, they had ZERO chemistry. I cannot believe no one saw this during casting/filming. Every scene with them is so awkward. I'd be interested to know how Natalie and Hayden got on off set. I have a feeling it was one of those deals where they'd do their scenes and then it was off to separate trailers afterwards.

Some new shots

‘Star Wars’ Obi-Wan Kenobi Movie Happening with Ewan McGregor?

I actually hope this happens, because Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan was one of the few things that was really good in the prequels. He deserves to work in a good Star Wars movie.

30 year time gap between Ep III and IV?!? Luke was born at the end of Ep III and around 19 in Ep IV.

Anyway, the concept is cool. I don't know about a trilogy though. And I agree that he does deserve to be in a good SW movie.

First look at C-3PO he has a Red left arm! Click link for pics!

As Star Wars: The Force Awakens draws closer, retailers are beginning to receive merchandise for the upcoming film. Thanks to Making Star Wars and /Film, images of a drinking glass and a desk and chair set have leaked online that provide new looks at Kylo Ren and his Stormtroopers, along with our first look at C-3PO in the highly anticipated film alongside fellow droids BB-8 and R2-D2. Interestingly, Threepio has a red arm.

The more I read, the more I believe that this film will live up to the hype and then some. My expectations are sky high.

I think most of us would agree that Empire Strikes Back was the best of the movies. Lucas didn't put many of his Muppets or his patented lame dialogue into that. This movie will be the first since with him hands-off. Huge reason for optimism.

I won't speak for quality, but Revenge of the Sith is more fun to watch than Return of the Jedi if you can stomach Christensen. I'll take him over ewoks.

ROTS is the only film of the prequel trilogy that can hold its own with the originals. I think most can agree with that.

We knew what was going to happen in ROTS, but it was still emotionally moving.

It was emotional. Hell, Firestorm said he cried.

ROTS is the best Star Wars movie in my opinion.

I'm really looking forward to this new movie. I think it will be great.
