Yeah there was one that is traditional animation by the guy that did Samurai Jack Cartoon Network. I think it had 2 seasons. Not sure how much of it is still considered canon. Although it did have the first appearance of a handful of characters like Grievous and Assaj Ventress.
The CG animated one is considered canon though.
The only issue I have with the animated series is that it portrays the Jedi abilities too over the top. However I still think it's a great series.
The Force has always seemed to be a bit of a plot convenience thing, moreso in the prequels but I'm sure I could think of some instances in the original trilogy.
Like in TPM, it shows Qui Gon and Obi Wan sprinting off at incredible speed getting away from the droids early in the movie, but late in the movie when Obi Wan was trying to get to Qui Gon and Darth Maul fighting he got stopped by the shield. I would think that fast burst would have come in handy right then.
because people want to give a reason for why Finn is any good at the things he was doing, and because Maz saw into his eyes and felt it was something she'd seen before, hinting that it's from a character we've already met. There are only 2 main black people: Lando and Mace. So half of the possibility is Jedi.
There isn't a 50% chance he's Jedi.
I said IF you subscribe to the theory that the comment about his eyes was foreshadowing about his character/lineage then there are only 2 quasi major black characters we've been introduced to that could be part of his story. Of those 2, 1 of them (half) was a Jedi.
We saw it in this movie... Albeit mother:son.
It's kind of a theme in Star Wars. Not really sure what mdrew27 is arguing about.
had a convo with an uber nerd tonite...he said in SW expanses uverse, each Jedi offspring has more metachloriates (sp?) than before. i did my best ed mcmahon 'i did not realize that, sir!'
