I have avoided all spoilers for this movie. As hyped as I was to see TFA I pretty much knew everything that was going to happen.

I just want to see Luke Skywalker open a can of whoop ass on people.

It’s not hard to figure out. She is young, athletic body, soft symmetrical facial features with big expressive eyes. Throw in a British accent for that extra touch of sophistication.

Pretty winning formula.

The final Vader scene from R1 made the whole movie worth it.

Well, the whole movie was awesome, but (spoiler tags for those who haven't had the privilege):

Vader going complete ape**** crazy on the Rebels was what we've wanted to see for years.

That lightsaber lighting up in that dark hallway had me fully torqued.

Not sure what spoilers you are talking about but I thought it was great. Some parts seemed a bit rushed, but overall loved the movie.

Just got out of the Last Jedi: thank you Disney for killing Star Wars for me. You couldn't let George Lucas kill it once you had to kill it twice. This trilogy sucks balls.

You guys don't know how pissed I am right now can't believe I paid money to see that. A Thrawn or Vong trilogy would have been so much better.

I'm seeing it in the morning so I can wait but I'm interested to know how exactly you feel they "killed Star Wars". But you're also not the only person I've heard say that.

1. Rey - Spent all of our time speculating on her parents since TFA to find out she is the daughter of galactic drunks? Cheap writing.

2. Snoke - You've been building him into this ultimate baddie who is always one step ahead. You have him deceiving and controlling Kylo the whole time but at the very end he can't sense Ren is going to kill him?

3. Luke's death - I have absolutely no problem with Luke dying to advance the story but not the way it happened. I mean Rian came up with the most BS way to kill off a beloved character. Really projecting yourself on a distant world and dying through the force? At least Obi-Wan actually went out like a boss.

4. Force Ghost Yoda - Don't have a problem with him showing up to guide a depressed Luke but using the force to burn down the Force Tree and Jedi text is a reach even for me.

5. Ackbar - Really you send him off like that? Frick Rian, you can't let the father of the Alliance Navy be the one to ram the cruiser into Snoke's super star destroyer?

6. The humor - A little humor in SW is fine but they went way overboard with it. Poe really taunting the General and the General not being smart enough to realize it? Elementary school humor at points.

Those are my initial thoughts. I'll be seeing it again tomorrow with my dad and brother. On my second viewing I may catch some more problems.


Here are my initial problems with it. At least TFA was semi-fun, Rian really crapped on the franchise with this.

This movie is so bad. The writing is terrible and the story is just full of holes. Apart from the space battles the rest of the movie is pure garbage. They triare d too hard to be cute and campy and ended up being a huge face palm. I enjoyed TFA and was hopeful for this but honestly, I’ll probably never watch this one again. Save the cash and just wait for it on streams or download it from some shady website if you have to see it. Really doubtful about the rest of the films now.

I agree. One of the few bright spots was the running space battle.
