On welfare? I think not. Have recieved some sort of taxpayer funded health care, probably. I will have a problem with illegals receiving tax payer funded health care once those that do not pay into the system are no longer receiving tax payer funded benefits. However, since the majority of illegal immigrants pay into the system, my problem is not with them receiving benefits.

Center for immigration studies reports illegal immigrants cost the fedeal govt. 26.3 billion in 2002 while paying 16 billion in taxes. fair trade.

The federal deficit is in the trillions. Which means that the American citizens cost the federal gov't billions and billions of dollars while paying less in taxes.

That is because of lack of mangment. As is the immigration problem. I have no problem with legal immigration, controlled order. I do have a problem with disorder, allowing people you know nothing about to enter the country. Why should Mexico even have a prison system, we would ingnorantly allow them to drop all their criminals off in south Texas, if they wanted to.

I like your first line, "all who wish to work". Having an unchecked and unobstructed path into this country allows for an abundance of people to get in here that have other wishes than work.

Where do you think the term WOP came from? Let me give you a hint. It stands for without papers, aka, people the U.S. knew nothing about. The Italians brought with them Sicilian crime families, however, the bulk of the Italian immigrants were not criminals. I believe you would have "solved" that "problem" by deporting all Italians at the time.

Apparently, you also completely ignore what was embodied in Emma Lazarus's poem. Everyone quotes the tired, poor, huddled masses part and stops. I like to begin where everyone else stops: The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me. I guess you would change that to: Bring me your best and brightest, keep your refuse, we are arrogant and proud of it.

The question should be how many of them came over illegally? no one is complaining about legal immigration.

The other question should be, how many people have entered another country illegally.

How many people have entered another country illegally? Most likely none.

Except Asians, Hispanics, Latinos, etc. So, as long as you are either white or your ancestors were slaves, then you entered legally...
