Maryland saw quite a bit of the whole Protestant-Catholic feuding. It got nasty during Cromwell's reign. Anyone who was Catholic or sympathetic to Catholics basically were treasonous.

umm... do i have to explain it? no, the mexicans couldn't shut down their prisons and ship the criminals to south texas, i shouldn't have to prove myself on that one, it's a no-brainer. I am sure there are many, many people that would agree with me. Now if you would give me a good explanation on how they could, I would love to see that.

Can you bring up the negatives again? Please, just quote Allvols posts about incarceration percentages from earlier. Also, completely disregard the poem on the statue of liberty, as well as the fact that these working immigrants pay taxes while our lower class citizens receive full tax refunds. Remember to make the point that legislation is all powerful and immutably right, while living in denial of such legislatively permissive acts such as the Slave Trade, the exclusion of Asians into America, the segregation of whites and blacks from 1865 to 1964 in half of America, the prohibition of the female vote, etc., etc., ad infinitum.

now back up each point. some of them i will give to you, but some of them are asinine. tuberculosis was a problem well before the "immigration problem." and try referencing a site without an obvious agenda, and when i say obvious, i mean obvious, just read the url.

Agree with emain on this one. Absolutely asinine. Why don't we just deport homosexuals and African Americans since their populations are shown to have higher rates of AIDS.

LetMeStay's comments are not assanine. Your reasoning for defending illegal immigration is. You encourage the importation of disease, crime, poverty and all else into your country. I am sure you let people you have never ackowledged set up living arrangements in your house. Again, with your reasoning, why don't we just import as many immigrants as we can from every country in the world.

the pro illegal immigration people keep referring to legal citizens as references for their arguement. why would we deport legal citizens because they have a disease? That's not the same thing as deporting ILLEGAL citizens.

The first thing these people have to realize is that these people are here ILLEGALLY. Why is that so hard to get?

Yes they can, but not at the same rate. People from poorer societies are much more susceptable to disease, thus importing poverty means importing disease.

Sick people do not avoid hospital care.

Hospitals are having to direct funding and time to issues they should not have to be dealing with.

Well considering many of the legals we let in are poor, do you know if we are screening every one coming in for every known disease?

Sick people who are afraid of being deported will avoid hospital care. I've talked to a few emergency room workers and all tell me that the ones with no documentation are usually forced to go by family members thinking they're about to die. It's usually the worst case medical conditions that they come in for. And the quick fix hospitals are low cost and the illegals pay cash there.

Screening everyone for diseases? We are even screening anyone for entry, doors wide open come on in..

Yea, talk to some hospital people, I am sure they will tell you that illegal immigration does not impact the hospital at all..

I answered it earlier. I would examine the cost:benefit ratio of having them there. If it was more beneficial to keep them in my house, then I would keep them there. If it was more costly, I would get rid of them.
