I pay a crap ton of fuel taxes every year only to see roads and bridges around the country fall to crap so excuse me if I am highly skeptical of this “infrastructure“ spending actually being spent on infrastructure. The federal government has no business funding local police, fighting the opioid epidemic (they caused it) or meddling in state elections.

I think the federal government needs to be scaled back to it’s intended purpose.

Releasing those barrels appeases those who don't understand but only see 30 million as being a high number. Same ones boast about largest job growth in 40 years but don't understand the job loss in the pandemic.

It’s great that you hold your own convictions about the federal branch, but if you think they will cede power then you’re dreaming. So, we’re left with yelling at each other about what line items we think are worthwhile. Meanwhile the only ones who get what they want are the ones that can afford to lobby or blackmail (or both).

Correct, the feds will never willingly cede power. The states must take it back from the federal government and as long as there are people out there supporting proposals like we heard last night they never will.

I was in Hilton Head last week and on my way to the golf course I stopped by Subway. I don't really care for it but it was on the correct side of the road and I didn't have a ton of time. I got a 6" sub & small drink and it was over $9.

"Just pay for it" is appropriate!

We are going to cure cancer by cutting cost, paying individuals more, and taxing rich people their fair share.

It won't be. It's just another excuse to dole out kickbacks under the guise of "helping America"
