New distraction emerged to occupy the news cycle. Covid is forever in the back pocket to use in rotation with voter suppression, class warfare, free college, billionaires paying their share and so on.It is the shameless brazenness of the pandering that gets me. Good grief. 24 hours ago, if I went in to pay for a bag of Funyuns and a Mountain Dew at the Circle K without a mask and I was literally “killing grandma”, and now….POOF….the entire government of our Republic is perfectly safe sitting 1 foot from each other and breathing on one another and everything is fine????

'What the hell is she doing?' Nancy Pelosi distracts viewers during State of Union by jumping out her seat, rubbing her knuckles and grinding her teeth while Biden speaks solemnly about toxic burn pits
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's bizarre behavior during Biden's State of the Union address last night distracted viewers from the President's comments and had some asking if she was 'on drugs' or 'drunk'.
The 81-year-old behaved erratically throughout, jumping up and rubbing her knuckles in glee after Biden spoke of soldiers breathing in toxic air at one point.
At other moments, she rubbed her tongue over her teeth inside her mouth.

He would be ashamed of certain personalities but I think he would be proud that the party still had some fight left in it. The biggest fear of most conservatives has been that the Republicans would grow too comfortable in a posit of the permanent minority party and settle for a few crumbs from the Democrat hands fromRonald Reagan would be ashamed of what happened to the Republican Party. By far, my favorite president of my lifetime.
The party has moved so far away from Reagan Republicans. The party would have never become isolationist or focused on talking loud and doing very little. It seems that both parties have become memes and have no actual desire to improve the quality of life for average Americans, protecting democracy across the globe, and keeping the USA at the top of the pecking order, economically, politically or otherwise. He would be ashamed of certain personalities but I think he would be proud that the party still had some fight left in it. He’s completely FOS on his not wanting foreign supply chains. He’s trying to steal Trump’s agenda when Biden’s actions are the opposite of what he says. His comments re Ukraine, B+
Reaction of both sides of aisle to that, A+

Wish he got rid of the crutches, "look" and "folks." Style wise it's terribly distracting and detracts from content.
Would like to see more detail of make stuff in the US concept
How, exactly, is that going to happen.
The attack on pharmaceutical companies is tired. Everyone does it because of course people want lower prescription costs. But how, exactly, do we do that?
He's right on allowing Medicare negotiating on prescriptions. And everybody knows it.
The child care issue is obvious. But again what are the specifics? How will we pay for that? Implement it?
Overall, as SOTUs go, a solid B. Reaction was good and GOP was responsible and I think good for show of unity at an important time so I give them kudos for that.
Hope Putin saw that and realized his actions have, at least for a time, caused political leadership to rally on one point, which is that we won't sit by on this.
So far.... will let you know if I have other reactions.
Go read the party’s platforms from the Reagan years. The ideals from that party to today’s party are night and day. Fiscal conservatism is basically dead. The focus on family and small business is dead. Focus on international diplomacy/expansion is dead in favor of isolationism and withdraw. Small government ideals: dead. Focus on R&D: dead. Supporting small farmers/ranchers: dead. Carrying on Teddy Roosevelt’s environmental legacy: dead. Supporting public works infrastructure: dead.He would be ashamed of certain personalities but I think he would be proud that the party still had some fight left in it.
